Customers say: Quality work

"First to contact me in person. Excellent job removing limbs and balancing the first tree that had been neglected for years. Complete removal of a large dead maple including the stump. Very professional and friendly! Great job of cleanup. Yes I will hire them again for all future tree/irrigation needs."

"Very helpful and excellent job done! Fast workers, polite and prompt! I highly recommend Competitive LLC. They removed a huge tree stump from our yard at a lower cost than I could find anywhere. They responded right away to my post for this job and they had already checked out the size of the stump and gave me a price on first contact with me. They were able to do the job right away and I could not have been happier!"

"They were really great. On time, great people, hard workers, super job. They really took care removing an old tree on the alley. Everything was cleaned up,branches, leaves, all debris in the alley and my yard, including cleaning the cement pad in the yard. They did a great job getting rid of all the old apricots laying around. Thanks guys! Great job ?"

Small jobs welcome

"Kingdom Tree Care was absolutely phenomenal to work with. Jordan is so nice and he arrived as scheduled for both the estimate and tree removal service that was only 2 days later. My lawn was left very tidy as all of the dead leaves, debris, branches and twigs were completely cleared away. What a relief to have a company like Kingdom Tree Care assist me with this project and come through for me when a pair of other companies couldn’t assist. One failed to arrive on the date of the estimate and another wouldn’t keep in contact until I felt ghosted entirely and just wasted my time and left me back at square one. Thank you Jordan"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

It’s possible to transplant trees as tall as 50 feet when an experienced tree planting service uses the right equipment. However, a tree with a trunk larger than two or three inches in diameter needs to be handled by a professional in order to yield successful transplanting results. Consulting a tree planting professional is the best way to tell if your large tree can be safely transplanted.

Unfortunately, if you cut the top off a palm tree, it will die. Instead of budding or branching out, the top begins to slowly rot. That's why having a professional tree trimming at least twice a year is a good idea. If you don’t have experience with trimming your palm tree, you might accidentally cut the top off, leaving a dead and rotting tree in your wake.

It’s not always easy to tell when a tree is dying, although signs like dropping branches and brittle bark can sometimes offer clues. It can also be difficult to know whether a tree is dead or dormant, especially if it’s a deciduous tree. You’ll want to wait until a growth season to get a good idea of a tree’s health. When in doubt, contact an arborist for a consultation.

The best way to protect tree roots is to avoid the roots entirely by excavating outside the root radius of the tree. For nearby projects, it’s a good idea to construct a temporary retaining wall. But that’s not always possible, depending on the project and the root system. In these cases, consider using alternative equipment like an auger to tunnel under the ground.

Remember, tree roots can damage nearby cement foundations as they grow. If a tree is close enough to interfere with large excavations, it may be better to remove the tree than risk future problems.

On grafted trees, tree suckers will grow from the root stock, not the branches grafted onto it. Therefore, the leaves and characteristics of the suckers aren’t the same as the tree because they are different varieties. Root stock has more hardiness, strength, or drought tolerance than its grafted limbs, so if the suckers are from fruit or flowers, it might be different than the main part of your tree.
