"Jeff and his team are the consummate professionals. Their work was exemplary and â the talkâ of the neighborhood. They are easy to work with, pricing is competitive, always on time and continue to work until the job was completed, which took over a month to complete. "Mike was very pleasant to work with as he listened carefully to my concerns for the area and recommended the appropriate plants for the area. He selected plants for easy maintenance, color impact and design layout. Prior to the actual install of the landscaping he removed the existing plants and material quickly and neatly. Mike is very responsive via text messages arrives on time as scheduled, What I really appreciated was the advance design and placement of the plants showing the color palette for all four seasons. He has an outstanding work ethic; hardworking, great communication with the customer and guarantees his work. I had one plant that died and he had it replaced in one day. I am more than satisfied with PNW Landscaping and will be using them again this year for another project."

Aquarium Services questions, answered by experts

Several things can ruin a septic tank over time, including dumping harsh chemicals (like bleach and ammonia), pesticides, and paint thinners down your drain because they can kill the bacteria in your septic tank. You should also make sure to only flush waste and toilet paper in your toilet—otherwise, you could clog your system.

If you notice a septic smell in the house, you can either call a septic system repair company or a plumber. These professionals have the proper licenses and equipment to investigate the pipes and septic tank while keeping your family safe from sewage gas exposure and raw sewage leaks. They will be able to find the problem as soon as possible and get it fixed so that your home can get back to smelling fresh again.

Most septic tanks need to be emptied every 3 to 5 years, but it’s a good idea to monitor the fill levels of your septic tank all the time. You can do this by installing a pressure level sensor to detect the internal tank pressure, or by having a septic tank company perform an annual inspection to let you know when you’ll need to pump the tank.

There are a few signs that indicate a failing drain field. For instance, if your septic tank starts requiring more pumping than normal, your drain field might be failing. Other signs to watch for include poor drainage after rain, standing water or sewage over the septic system, a strong septic smell outside, new and healthy grass growing over the drain field, and plumbing backups in your sinks, bathtubs, or toilets.

Disposing of old paint, bleach, oil, and fertilizer should be handled by a company that specializes in this kind of waste. Many private junk removal companies do not dispose of these items. Because these materials are hazardous to the environment and dangerous to handle or dispose of improperly, you should confirm with your local municipality about places to take hazardous materials for safe disposal.
