"Brandon and his guys were all amazing! They cleaned out our pond and filter, and installed lights in the fountain. Brandon had me take pictures of the lights after dark and came back out to adjust them to make them even prettier. We will definitely be enjoying our fountain more now in the evenings!"

"We hired Paradise Landworks to do the excavation for our home that we were building. As a first time homebuilder, I had a lot of questions and was unsure about some phases of the project. However, Jesse was very knowledgeable and helpful. He helped get our project going and did a great job with the excavation. It made the concrete work a lot simpler with a perfectly smooth and level base to work off of and he did a great job with our backfill. He went the extra mile to remove the abundant number of rocks we have on our property. I would highly recommend and will be using them again in the future."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

To maintain your pond, you’ll need to occasionally clean your backyard pond, especially if you have koi fish. Test the water twice a week to make sure your fish have everything they need and always remove visible debris.

How many fish can call your pond home depends on the volume of the pond and the fish size. Your pond's filtration system also influences the number of fish that will thrive in a pond. A general rule of thumb is to have 1 inch of fish for every square foot in a pond that's 2 feet deep. Another rule of thumb you can follow is to have one koi fish for every 200 gallons of water or two goldfish for every 200 gallons.

If you’re wondering how to build a pond above ground, it’s similar to building a pond below ground. Instead of digging, choose a plastic tub and install the same type of pond kit. Many homeowners find above-ground ponds a bit easier to install and maintain. Before getting started, learn how to design the landscape of your dreams,

Most outdoor water fountains and features do not use a lot of electricity, typically consuming between 100 and 250 watts per day. The size of the fountain's motor can impact its overall electricity usage. To reduce energy consumption, you can use a timer to automatically turn the fountain off at night or when you are away from home. Additionally, installing solar power components can help lower electricity costs after the initial investment is recouped.

When deep cleaning your koi pond, transfer fish to a clean, uncontaminated container at least one foot deep, like a large bucket, tub, or kiddie pond. Fill the container with their existing pond water to avoid shocking them, and place the container in full or partial shade. When it’s time to reintroduce them into the pond, slowly add the new water to the container before adding the fish and container water back into the pond.
