"Mr. Proctor is delightful tto work with. He is prompt, responsive and very thorough. I just moved into a two-story house that was covered with insect webs. Mr. Proctor washed the entire house, and it now almost sparkles. He cleaned the windows and doors, including screens, inside and out. What a difference that made!  I am extremely pleased with his work and will purchase a membership package for regular cleaning. I highly recommend Integrity Window Cleaning.

"ACI showed up early to begin our window project.  They started on the inside windows and did an amazing job!  They even did the tracks!  It took them over 2 hours to do the inside and the outside windows.  I was so impressed that every window inside and out was hand washed.  No wands, hoses, etc. doing the work for them.  I will definitely use them again!

"Jim responded promptly to my order placed on Angie's List for the Remote Computer Tune Up & Repair Deal.  He cleaned up the computer remotely, which was running very slowly, and required frequent re-boots.  Computer is running much faster now.  Great service.  Would highly recommend.

"Dylan and his crew did an awesome job of repairing our ceiling and electrical cutouts, and holes in our garage with little fuss and at a reasonable rate. They kept the living room clean and were very mindful of the property. They made sure we were satisfied with the work. we can recommend Williams plastering to all homeowners."

Window Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

No, it’s not safe to leave a doggy door open. It might be more convenient, especially at night when you just want to lay in bed. However, when you leave it open, it increases the chance of other critters getting in without your knowledge. Also, it leaves your pup unsupervised for hours at a time.

Most solar screens last 10 to 15 years, depending on the material quality, exposure to weather, and the level of maintenance. High-quality materials and regular cleaning can extend their lifespan, while harsh climates or neglect may shorten it. Routine cleaning, inspecting for damage, and avoiding harsh cleaners can help extend the lifespan of your screens.

Tears, holes, or difficulty in opening and closing suggest a need for repair.

You can add any type of window to a brick house, so long as the window has proper support. Windows with wider openings and windows in brick walls will need a lintel to support the extra weight above the window frame. A lintel is a support beam that distributes the weight from above evenly around the window.

Most window screens last for about 10 to 12 years, assuming they are made from quality materials and receive proper care. The lifespan of common materials like fiberglass and aluminum can vary based on weather exposure, as constant sun or harsh winters can accelerate wear and tear. Regular cleaning and basic maintenance can help extend their life. Signs that a screen needs to be replaced include rips, tears, brittle or sagging material, fading, or a bent frame. While small tears can often be repaired, larger areas of damage typically mean it's time to replace the entire screen.
