"We wanted to add an electric outlet on a stair landing. I thought it was going to happen a certain way tapping electrical from a common wall into the garage but after taking lots of measurements and using a good dose of common sense Logan was able to figure out a much more efficient and practical method to get the job done. this is the second time I've used them and have been very pleased both times."

"Eduard, the owner of E&E Electric transformed my spec home into one that people think was custom built home upon entry. I had him either change existing fixtures or install new circuits, chandeliers and switches literally in every room. The best thing about the entire two week job was that not one single hole was drilled or cut into sheetrock that had to be repaired or touched up afterward. It was if I had every circuit pre-wired during construction (which the spec builder refused to do). Eduard and E&E Electric is the only electric company I will ever use and he gets my highest rating"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

If you’re wondering whether an electrical panel in the bathroom needs to be moved, the answer is yes. Due to the risks of shocks and electrical fires, electrical panels cannot be located in bathrooms per National Electric Code Volume 70. Additionally, gasses, vapors, liquids, and temperature fluctuations can all compromise the functionality of your electrical panel, so it’s important to install it in a dry, cool, safe, and easily accessible location.

GFCI stands for Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, a standard safety addition to home power outlets. In rooms where moisture is more likely, like the bathroom and kitchen, GFCI outlets stop the current when certain kinds of shorts are detected, preventing shocks. Both GFCI and the similar AFCI (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter) outlets are polarized and have clear indicators on the receptacle where hot wiring should go.

A gas stove doesn't always need a dedicated circuit. Unlike an electric range, which uses 240 volts and requires a 240-volt receptacle, a gas stove only uses 120 volts. In some cases, your electrician will need to replace the existing two-pole circuit breaker with a single-pole circuit breaker as well as swap out the existing 240-volt receptacle with a 120-volt replacement.

To ensure batteries stop charging when they’re full, you’ll need to install a charge controller that determines when the battery is full. Once the battery is fully charged, the charge controller will stop the energy flow or divert the energy to the grid or other appliances. Without a charge controller, the battery may continue to charge, which can lead to less productivity and potential damage.

A home electrical inspection usually takes one to two hours. Full home inspections fall on the longer side, while code compliance inspections that focus on a single repair or installation may only take a few minutes. Optional add-ons like infrared inspections can add time, but these aren’t usually included in your standard inspection.
