Prime Plumbing is a local plumbing company based right here in Nampa, Idaho. For over 9 years, we have been helping homeowners and businesses across the Treasure Valley handle plumbing problems the right way.\n\nThis is not a big franchise. It is a local team that takes pride in showing up, figuring out what is actually going on, and getting it fixed without overcomplicating things.\n\nMost people are not calling a plumber on a good day. Something is leaking, backing up, not heating, or just not working the way it should. We understand that, and we try to make the process as straightforward as possible.\n\nYou call, we show up, we take a look, and we give you a clear explanation of what is happening and what your options are.\n\nNo pressure. No confusing language. Just real answers.

"Working with Tony went better than I could have ever expected! We hired him to install a new bathroom in our home including tub, toilet and sink. Tony was detailed, precise and easy to work with. I and very involved in the design elements my home and Tony worked with me to make sure everything was to my liking. I also chose European style faucets for my tub/shower combo and Tony made that work as well! Such clean, accurate work and no problems at all. I will certainly use him for any and all future plumbing needs."

"Jerry spent some time locating the septic tank as it wasn't where I thought it was. My house was built in the 70's so that complicated things. There had been a new tank installed and was completely underground and not visible. After testing what we thought was the working tank Jerry found the new working one. He went ahead and cleaned out the tank for me. He was very careful not to crush my plants in the area and I appreciated that very much. Kudos to Jerry for being determined to find the newer septic tank."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Check connections, clean fixtures, and apply finishing or protective coatings to preserve months' worth of shine and functionality.

If a bolt at the bottom of your toilet tank is loose, it can directly cause a leak. If a bolt securing the toilet base to the floor is loose, it won’t directly cause a leak but can lead to the same result over time. That’s because the loose bolts will eventually move the wax seal or cause cracks in the bowl from the toilet being wobbly.

Small bathroom renovation costs don’t have to break the bank. A $5,000 budget is realistic, provided you're not adding luxurious fittings or making complex layout changes. Changing the layout is the most costly aspect of renovating a bathroom. So if you keep the layout, do some of the job DIY (within your skillset), and use relatively affordable fixtures and accessories, you should be able to stay within your budget.

If a toilet is not properly vented, you could experience issues like poor drainage, slow flushing, frequent clogs, malfunctioning traps, gurgling noises, and the release of sewer gasses. If left untreated, all of these issues could lead to longer term structural damage or (in the case of sewer gasses) harmful health side effects.

The average cost to hire a plumber is typically between $45 and $200 per hour, with a common average rate around $125 per hour. This cost can vary based on your location, the plumber's experience, and the complexity of the job. Rates are often broken down by experience level: an apprentice may charge $45 to $90 an hour, a journeyman $60 to $110 an hour, and a master plumber $80 to $200 an hour. While hourly rates are standard, some plumbers may charge a flat fee for routine projects or offer project-based pricing. It's also common for plumbers to charge a minimum service or trip fee. For reference, some typical flat-rate costs for common jobs include: drain unclogging ($220), leaky faucet repair ($270), burst pipe repair ($400), toilet repair ($300), and water heater repair ($600). Note that these rates are for standard service hours; emergency, holiday, and after-hours calls will cost significantly more.
