I have been painting since 2000 in the Twin City area but recently moved to Cedar Rapids. My painting is not limited to walls; I have done floors, ceilings, staircases, cabinets and furniture. Pricing is competitive, most jobs are calculated by square feet. Give me a call!

Custom Cabinetry, Furniture and Countertops. Consultation, Design and Installation. Showroom Hours: Monday Thru Friday 8:00 to 5:00. Appointments suggested. Accepting Visa, Mastercard, and Discover

"First date scheduled by them, not us, no show, no call, no text. We had to call them to find out the crew got redirected to fix another crew's screwup. They set a new date and same result. Finally showed up later that week. Crew was exceptionally good, cabinets are great. 98 year old house required custom sizes. Decided to add fake cabinet doors to finish one little section of wall and was quoted $1000 and given a timeframe. Called after the time came and went and found they had a really big job in another town and just blew us off. No apology or communication of any kind. Nice cabinets, poor communication and scheduling."

2 employees, home based. Mobile service in-home whenever possible. Prices determined by job, every one is different. I work out of my house or my truck so I do not have business hours as such.

Furniture Refinishing questions, answered by experts

It's perfectly fine to just refinish the top of your table instead of all of it. In fact, that's what most people do. After all, why finish the bottom of the table that nobody ever sees? Of course, depending on how exposed the legs of your table are, you might at least consider refinishing them.

Vinegar won’t strip the wood stain from your wood, but it can help remove a different type of stain. If you’re dealing with food stains or trying to remove water rings on your wood, you can use a little olive oil and vinegar (mixed equally) to remove those stains without stripping your actual wood stain. Just rub the solution in the direction of the wood grain, let it sit, and then wipe it away with a damp towel.

Wood filler is used to fix imperfections or damaged interior sections of wood on items like cabinets, door frames, and even laminate floors or countertops. It contains wood byproducts like sawdust mixed with water or solvent, which helps bind to wood and dry pretty quickly.

If the scratch is large enough that it compromises the integrity of the wood, a wood filler probably won’t be enough to fix the problem. In that case, you might need to sand and refinish the entire floor or replace a board. If you do use a filler, use one that’s appropriate for the scratch. Water-based wood fillers work for small gaps or gouges, while epoxy has added strength to fill larger scratches and gaps.

Whether it is worth it to ship your bedroom furniture depends on your priorities, but it can be hard to decide. You should ship your bedroom furniture if the pieces have sentimental or antique value and if it will make you happy to have them in your new home. But if your mattress or box spring is worn out (the average lifespan of a bed is seven to ten years), it's probably not worth the money or effort to ship if you’re moving somewhere where bedroom furniture is readily available.
