"From all the salesmen who came to give me thier sells pitch, it was refreshing to see Nate- the business owner, who goes out to meet the potential customer, take the measurements, showing the materials and designs samples in a calm, friendly way rather than pushing to close right now. As a small business the price tag estimate for the job was significantly lower than the other 3 compannies we talked to, as it doesn't have to include sales guys, training centers and big administration. After order was placed Rob who installed came with everything and put all carefully and meticulously. This business doesn't promis like all others "instalation in 1 day", but take thier time doing everything in the proper way rather a fast sloppy job. Thank you guys for a real royal shower !"

"I haven’t had my shower installed yet, but I was very impressed with the customer services and their warranty and demonstrated quality materials. I won’t get the install till October, but that gives me time to save up."

"Purchased coupon on August 11, 2011.  Because I was remodeling my kitchen myself after work and weekends, I didn't have time to deal with the creating the room drafts, plans, layouts or measurements she required.  I did contact Jill and explain the situation and she was very understanding.  She said because I contacted her, not to worry about the deadline.  I remained in contact with her over the next few years (that's how long it took me) and when I was ready around the start of 2014, she worked hard to provide her new design.
A true professional and great person to work with.  The design was spot on and my wife and i were very impressed.  Thank you Jill.

"Jason did an amazing job on our new shower, tile, toilet and vanity. He was very polite and we couldn’t be happier with the skills he has. 10/10 he’s the guy to hire for your bathroom jobs. So affordable and was willing to work with our color schemes and schedules."

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel questions, answered by experts

Whether walk-in showers are worth it depends on your goals and priorities. For many, walk-in showers are worth the investment due to the increased accessibility, the minimalist aesthetic, and the ease of cleaning. They’re particularly beneficial for households that want low-threshold access for aging in place. However, if you love taking baths and want more privacy and a warmer showering space, a walk-in shower may not be the best bathroom upgrade for you.

Most modern showers have a prefabricated base made from fiberglass or plastic, such as acrylic or polyurethane. Nonetheless, concrete mortar is still the traditional, go-to base for a custom walk-in shower.

You’ll need to add a waterproofing liner or membrane between the layers of mortar to keep moisture out. From there, you can top it with whatever type of tile you like to create a spa-like custom look. Be sure to include these considerations in your budget for the cost of a walk-in shower.

The cost of making a bathroom accessible can be $3,000 to $25,000, but you could spend as much as $50,000 building a brand-new ADA-compliant bathroom. Some bathroom accessibility upgrades to consider include:

  • Installing grab bars: $100–$500

  • Lowering cabinets and vanities: $1,200–$2,500

  • Installing modified doors: $700–$1,500

  • Installing a modified toilet: $400–$1,000

  • Installing an accessible sink and faucet: $100–$1,000

  • Adding a walk-in tub: $1,100–$17,000

  • Converting a bathtub into a walk-in tub: $350–$1,000

  • Installing a wheelchair-accessible shower: $2,000–$7,500

  • Installing a shower ramp: $16–$300

The most expensive part of remodeling a house is often the kitchen, which can cost $15,000 to $41,000. Kitchen remodeling may require new plumbing, electrical wiring, countertops, appliances, and cabinets, all of which can be pricey. One way to remodel a kitchen on a budget is to keep your old appliances instead of buying new ones.

In most cases, it is safe to stay in a house while renovating. However, you should take precautions if there is active construction going on. You should keep the main living area separate from the construction zone, and make sure animals and kids don’t have access to any dangerous equipment. It’s not safe to stay in a home that’s having asbestos removed.
