"DeLong Pressure washing did an amazing job at our house today. I simply can't believe the difference that they were able to make on our house, gutters, patio, driveway and landscaping blocks. Their attention to detail and customer service was top notch. I am going to highly recommend them to all of my family, friends and neighbors. Awesome job!!"

"Widened and leveled my driveway, added new gravel and compacted it and added a drainage grate to my garage. Very professional and knowledgeable. Was able to accommodate my schedule. Finished the work in about 8 hours. Very happy with the result."

"We hired Northland Handyman Services to do several jobs for us. He came over, gave us a very resonable estimate of each job we needed done. We had him powerwash driveway and sidewalk, wire our garage for an extra outlet for a new freezer that we had purchased and some landscaping. He gave us an estimate that was very reasonable. He worked with our schedule and finished each job as promised and cleaned up after each job. We will be hiring him for several more jobs that we need done. Excellent service and resonably priced! Highly recommend this young man!"

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Some housekeepers bring their own cleaning supplies and equipment, while others expect you to provide them. Always clarify this detail before hiring, as it can affect both the overall cost and the types of products used in your home. If you have specific preferences for certain brands or eco-friendly products, discuss these needs upfront to avoid misunderstandings.

Yes, many providers offer organic or eco-friendly treatments. Confirm availability with your contractor.

Yes, if you’re strapped for supplies, boiling hot water can be a great alternative for getting rid of soap scum. However, as this method calls for a bit of soaking, it’s best used when cleaning your bathroom sink or bath basin (or on small objects you can submerge). All you have to do is plug your sink or bathtub drain and pour in enough boiling water to cover the soap scum. Allow it to soak for five minutes, drain, and follow up with an additional hot water rinse to remove any lingering residue.

The most effective toilet tank cleaners include commercial cleaning products, but for DIY purposes, white vinegar is best. Vinegar can help kill bacteria and remove mineral buildup from your toilet tank, but it won’t harm the necessary bacteria in your septic tank as some commercial products can. For the best clean, hire a professional to choose the most aggressive cleaning product that’s still safe for your septic tank, or use white vinegar and a scrub brush to do the cleaning yourself.

You should wash your sheets at least once every two weeks and as often as once every week to keep your sleeping environment healthy. If it’s hot out, or if you have a job where you might deposit dust onto your sheets from your work environment, you should wash your sheets more frequently.
