"Very good. This was our first time having this done so we didn't know what questions to ask to get a complete estimate. Because of this they added extra services to ensure we would be happy with their work. Very polite and clean. Would definitely hire them again."

"This company is so professional and courteous. I contacted 5 different companies for quotes and these guys and one other contractor were the only two who did not trash talk every other company. Trash talking another company really does nothing for a business. Jed worked very hard at getting us a low price and was extremely prompt in their service. No they do not have a "showy" showcase at their place of business like some do but then they pass that savings onto the customer. The two receptionists were extremely professional and polite. In my opinion I would recommend these people to anyone. We ended up replacing both the air conditioner and furnace as well as had a humidifier installed, as well as two new air return ducts cut in. Thank you for the professional service."

Air Duct Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes, duct sealing is considered an essential task for most homes. Even small, seemingly minor leaks in your ductwork can lead to significant energy waste, reduced HVAC system efficiency, and decreased indoor comfort. For older homes, sealing is especially crucial as ducts are likely to have developed gaps and leaks over time, impacting both energy bills and air quality. However, even in newer homes, proactive duct sealing can prevent future issues and optimize your system's performance. A comprehensive approach that seals all leaks is key to maximizing energy efficiency and maintaining a comfortable home environment.

If you don't clean your AC evaporator coils, dirt and debris will build up, which impairs the system's ability to transfer heat. This forces the unit to work harder, leading to inefficient performance, higher energy bills, and frequent breakdowns. Over time, neglected coils can corrode, which may cause refrigerant leaks, or develop mold, ice buildup, and a clogged condensate drain, resulting in poor air quality and an uncomfortable home.

If adjusting your dampers is not giving you the performance you want, such as a reduction in energy bills, you may want to consider the cost to reroute ductwork. You may have a poorly designed system that doesn’t meet your home’s needs. If you added on to the home, for example, this could explain the need to add or reroute some ductwork to help the dampers work better.

You can do simple maintenance to keep it clean and operating in peak condition. Start by replacing the furnace air filters as directed–often, this is once every month or every three. Next, clean your air vents once a month, as they can help you see how much dirty air filters through. If you notice them becoming dirtier, you should have your ducts cleaned. With flexible ducting being more susceptible to tears, you’ll want to hire a pro to do the work for you.

You do need dampers in your HVAC system, but they do help to regulate airflow and give you better control of the temperature in each room of your home. Most HVAC systems will have dampers installed, but this isn't always the case. If you don’t have designated zones in your home, you’ll likely still have valve control dampers on your supply vents for manual control.
