They were great! Jon worked with me and my insurance to get us a new roof and new gutters after the August derecho. He was quick to respond anytime I had questions and gave me great advice on working with my insurance to make sure we got full coverage. I’d happily call them again for any and all roofing needs.

Roof Iowa stopped by with shingle samples - and though they did not have the same brand/color as the original shingles (about 8 years old) they found a matching color and laced them in and patched the exposed areas of my roof. The color match is good enough that - unless you know where to look, you are not going to find the areas at all - and even if you know, you will have a hard time seeing where the new shingles are. The storm that blew shingles off our roof impacted most of our neighbors and a large portion of the city we live in. When my wife contacted Roof Iowa (minutes after the storm), we were already 150th in line, but they got us (and several neighbors) taken care of two days later. They also inspected the rest of my roof and assured me that it was not damaged, which was a major concern after the storm.

Roof Iowa was in and done in one day. A very well coordinated team of hard workers stripped the old shingles, put down new and cleaned up in about 8 hours for both the house and garage. They were courteous and professional. Jon at Roof Iowa also installed new gutters and leaf guards for us as well as took down the old satelite dish. Most importantly he worked within the budget of the insurance estimates for the hail damage. We appreciated that very much!

Excellent. They cleaned up everything, were done quickly, and they were able to match my older shingles so that you can't even tell a repair was done! Roof Iowa also helped me with a roof vent cover before and did an excellent job replacing this. Both repairs were very reasonable cost and John was very professional in his consultations.

It was an excellent experience working with Josh at Roof Iowa. We contacted him in March to start the process and get quotes for a new roof. He worked with us for a couple months to show us different color options and even tried to help us get a blue shingle we liked from the Timberline line of shingles that was only available from the East Coast market but we're in the Midwest. Once we finally decided, he honored the quote he'd given us and got us on his schedule. Four days before the actual work he contacted us with the date and the crew was there promptly that morning. We suspected we had some bad boards along the edges underneath from leaks behind the gutters. When the crew found out how bad some of the boards really were, Josh was there to let us know the update and worked with us on the additional cost. They replaced a lot of boards which were not quality for a roof. It was evident the roof job done before we bought the house 18 years prior was only done with low cost in mind and not quality. Josh was all about doing it right. The crew was pleasant and cleaned up the yard and surroundings very well. With the exception of our very nice new roof, you could never tell they'd been there. Our new gutters were done a week later. That was with a subcontracted crew but Josh made sure he was out after they finished to look it over. He wanted to be sure we were happy as well with them before he sent the final bill. Our bill had a small mix-up because we had talked about gutter guards at one point but decided against them. Emily was quick to get the information updated and a correct invoice to us. They have an option for paying online which was secure, quick and easy. We love our new roof and gutters and would highly recommend Roof Iowa.

Jon Carrington is the best roofer in town. I've had leaks in the roof at two different houses. Both times Jon was lightning fast in getting to the house, finding the source of the leak, and fixing it (one single visit). Very reasonable pricing.

Perfect! The work was weather dependent, so there was no scheduled arrival time. I was out of state for two weeks when he completed the work. He called when he was still in my driveway to tell me he was done, and I remembered something else I waned him to check. He immediately got back on his ladder, made the repairs, and called me back. Very professional, reasonable rates, and he clearly explained everything before and after work was done.

Great. Josh and Jon were both very professional and took extra care to make sure the project went well and provided excellent follow up care to make sure all my concerns were addressed quickly and effectively.

My property was having condensation problems in the attic, a couple of missing shingles on the roof, along with a hole near the electrical service line. Jon took the time to inspect the attic and roof and explain precisely how the condensation was getting into the attic, along with options to resolve the issues. He was very upfront and honest through the whole visit, and even pointed out some roof issues I had not noticed, and the inspector missed. I can tell he has a keen eye for his profession, is knowledgeable on the way roofs have been constructed through the years. From the research I had done, I thought I might need an attic fan, along with a couple more vents. In the end, he suggested I fix the shingles and problem spots, return the attic fan and vents I had purchased, as they would not improve circulation, have MidAmerican do an energy audit, have another company come in to add additional insulation, and then monitor for moisture. I had other contractors come to the property and they only looked at the roof and wouldn’t have fixed the underlying moisture issue. The other contractors were more than happy to cut additional holes in the roof, for little benefit, and take my money. Jon provided sound options and did not want to do frivolous work just to make money. When the time comes to redo my roof, I will definitely be giving Jon a call. I know he cares about the work he does and is honest.

Josh came out and looked at the roof. He located the leaks, and was able to make the necessary repairs on the spot. I was glad the problem wasn't more serious. I appreciated his honesty and detailed explanation, and also the before and after pictures he showed me.

It went awesome! Jon's follow up throughout the entire process was outstanding and he stuck with us through it all. Made sure we were 100% happy with each decision and did so much of the work with the insurance company and wholesaler (for a siding) that we didn't have to do much at all. Made it extremely easy on us. Would definitely recommend him to everyone and would for sure hire him again!

We used Iowa Roofing for our roof repair and shingle repair needs, and as a general contractor for exterior paint, seamless gutters and gutter toppers. Very easy to work with, great communication on both of our busy schedules. Agreed to repair wood before painting and also painted the metal garage door, which was a nice surprise. They even worked with me to paint the adjoining fence, and went as far to be sure to use 3 coats of paint to get good coverage. The painting crew did a nice clean up and the roofing crew worked it all in 1 day with no mess. After the shutters were painted, they even hung them back up to me, which I did not expect! My attic only had 4 vents, and he knew it needed more, so we now have 10, which is better especially since we have our HVAC unit installed in the attic. The roofers painted the other existing vents to match too! Neighbors walking past are impressed and seriously think we had new siding, but no, just new paint and a stylish roof. Thanks!

Refreshing to speak with someone so professional and practical. Gave an honest opinion of our roof and did not try to sell us on anything! For now our roof is ok. Jon also looked at a rental property that had a leak in the roof. He felt it was just a vent needing caulking, caulked on the spot and did not charge us as he said he was not sure it would solve the problem but may. We will monitor that and call him again if needed. Also will highly recommend him to family and friends.

Jon was great! I appreciated his honesty and time spent explaining the state of my roof. When we go to replace in the next 4-6 years, Roof Iowa will definitely be at the top of our list.

The process all went smoothly. Jon was responsive on the original quote, stopping by to explain all of the options. We bid against 2 other installers. Roof Iowa was the middle quote after the initial round, but came down to match the lower bid after some discussion. The installation was professional and fast, the guys worked 14 hour days for almost 3 days. Jon was on site several times to ensure the work was happening and the job site was cleaned up. The gutters were subbed out to another firm, they showed up about a week later and did a fine job with the installation. Sometime not every thing goes to plan: We had a cloudburst after day 1 and had some leaking into the attic. I texted Jon and he came over right away and personally inspected, cleaned up and replaced the wet insulation. On that issue and the whole job, Jon was available, professional and responsive. We are satisfied with the work we had done and the price we paid.

Too good to be true? Something for nothing? Don't hear those phrases very often these days. My first call was to a company that charges $89 just to look at the problem. They weren't on Angie's List. ROOF IOWA was on Angie's List. Jon from ROOF IOWA answered my call on his cell. Initially he said it would be end of next week or so before he could look at. He asked for my address. Then I described the problem we were having. He said he was pretty sure what was going on and would stop by after he finished a job and would swing by to take a look. I was surprised that he would take the time even with being in the neighborhood. Jon arrived in about half an hour. I had him come in to see the ceiling damage. Once on the roof he found that just caulking was needed around base of the pipe that connects power line to the house. While he was up there I asked what I owed him. First he said, "Nothing." I said I wanted to pay him something. His next response was, "$5". I headed inside knowing I would pay him more than $5 when he said that if I would put a positive review on Angie's List that would cover the cost. I wrote out a check for him but couldn't see where he was on the roof. In a couple minutes he appeared. He had been caulking the other pipes. I had some questions about the roofs on garage & house. Jon spent about 10 minutes sharing his knowledge. I know my experience with work Jon from Roof Iowa ended up to be an easy fix. But the fact that he took the time to stop by, applied the caulking and was not expecting a dime says a lot about the man and his company, Roof Iowa. No pressure, no attempt to sell me something else. Jon is very knowledgeable and I will be calling ROOF IOWA when my 16 year old roof needs to be replaced.

Jon and the Roof Iowa team did a great job on our roof and gutters. It was a big job , tearing off several layers and replacing much of the decking. They did what it took to finish the roof in one day. Their work ethic and teamwork were actually inspiring. Jon's follow up to make sure everything was done perfectly will keep us dry for years to come.

Customer Service was excellent, workmanship and timely completion again was wonderful and not what I would have expected out of a roofing contractor. I was given options in the color of the roofing, which was great, it allowed to have my house be coordinated in not just color but as a design factor. My budget was exactly what I was billed for, which was a very nice surprise. In addition, he went over and beyond with my window shingles and painted them to coordinate with the roof and siding, I will recommend Roof Iowa to anyone!
