"I went with this company to replace my furnace and air-conditioner. My furnace went out on a Friday night, they came out to give me a bid on Monday and replaced both units on Tuesday. I chose them because their price was within $100-$200 of the big companies, but Precision is owner operated. The owner gave me the bid and was here to do the installation. I appreciate the owner doing the installation as he has a lot of experience and will be the one I call if something goes wrong. They only took 6 hours to do both installations - it was quick, clean, easy and well done. Highly recommend."

"They were very good. He explained everything n was very thorough. He cleaned out all of r air ducts n r dryer vent. We live in a 110 year old house n the vents have probably only been cleaned out once or twice. Before he left he showed me a pictures n a video of the inside of r vents."

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Yes, AC coil cleaning is definitely worth it. Cleaning your AC coils ensures your AC unit will function efficiently for the long term. Dirty and grimy AC coils make your unit work harder to cool your home, resulting in higher electric bills. Additionally, having your coils professionally cleaned regularly will reduce the possibility of extensive maintenance and repair costs.

If you have central air conditioning, it’s fine to run your AC all day if that’s what you want—as long as the AC unit is in good condition. But if your AC runs constantly when you don’t want it to, there may be a problem with your system (like the ones we’ve mentioned above). Window AC units and wall air conditioners aren’t as powerful as central AC, so you should only run those kinds of air conditioners for eight to 12 hours at a time.

There are plenty of different not-so-great sounds to hear from your air conditioning unit, like squealing, grinding, water running, excessive gurgling, banging, and clanking. Each of these sounds can indicate a different malfunction with your unit, so it’s important to have a professional assess the problem before it gets worse.

Many HVAC manufacturers provide warranties that encompass the cost of a new compressor, with durations ranging from 5 to 10 years, depending on the brand. These warranties cover critical components such as the compressor, condenser, connecting tubing, evaporator, and refrigerant charge. Moreover, they often include the necessary labor for replacement or repairs. Keep in mind that premium-brand compressors may offer lifetime warranty options. It's essential to note that these warranties rarely cover labor costs.

Replacing both an AC and a furnace takes a full day on average, ranging from eight to 12 hours. The process involves removing the old units, installing the new ones, and ensuring all connections are properly made. If both systems are being replaced simultaneously, it can take longer than installing a furnace alone, so plan accordingly.
