Our owner, Travis Lloyd Smith, has been learning the craft of good design and doing quality work his entire life. Owning an early 1900's home for the past ten years, Travis has enjoyed doing his own home improvements. Taking his passion for high quality craftsmanship and home improvements Travis serves Des Moines area homeowners as well as commercial property construction projects.

"Very disappointed with our deck remodel. Travis and his team gave a competitively priced quote but the final product was abysmally poor. Lots of hacks and poor fit and finish. Travis left and had subs finish our job resulting in very poor quality. Furthermore during demolition the team broke threw our walls and have caused leaks from our deck. Would strongly advise against hiring this company. No other services were offered to complete the job. The owner made multiple commitments that were not honored to come and fix the issues present. I even offered to pay for new materials. None of the issues pictured or discussed are due to "Rejected Suggestions to save on cost". The owner told me that demo took longer than expected and thus the project went way over budget. Yes, this is a deck from two seasons ago. I've waited to share this and give the owner plenty of opportunities to fix this issue. "Our hope is that this will prevent such quality issues moving forward" is a great sentiment, however these quality issues were easily remediable at time of completion and the multiple opportunities offered since."
