"On 5/24/2024 we called C& K (we will never call then again) because our over price sump pump we bought from c&k was not working correctly. We bought this sump pump 2 years ago. In Iowa we were in a 2 year drought. On May 24, 2024 our sump pump was only working about 1/3 of the time due to heavy rain. We called c&k to come out to look at the pump, they cut the seal around the top of the unit to raise the led. The problem was that the person that installed the pump did not screw down the ring that goes around the pump. WORKMENSHIP DEFECT SO TO COVER UP THERE ERRORS THEY DID NOT CHARGE FOR LABOR BUT CHARGED US FOR THE "SERVICE CALL" $$$$100 bucks TRIP CHARGE- HERE IS WHAT WAS ON THE INVOICE: "Found check valve came loose and sump pump not operating normally. "Check valve needs reconnected." no charge $100 bucks for there misstake (I am retired) Check this out this is how they will try and RIP YOU OFF I wanted to replace the THERMOSTAT s&k price over $700 bucks THE SAME THERMOSTAT AT LOWES IS $259 BUCKS C&K YOUR """"""FIRED"""""""""

Another common question is, what pressure should your well tank be set at? The standard rule of thumb is to set your well tank’s pressure at 2 psi below the cut-on point of your pressure switch. So if your well is set up for a high cycle of 40/60 psi, your pressure should be set to 38 psi. If you use a low setting of 30/50 psi, you would set the pressure to 28 psi.

There are no major drawbacks or risks to oversizing a well pressure tank for your well. In some cases, having a larger pressure tank can increase its lifespan as it won’t have to cycle on and off as often, resulting in less wear and tear. It is not normal to smell your septic outside and indicates a problem such as an unsealed manhole or access lid, a clogged septic line, a faulty vent stack, or the need for a septic tank pumping. If sewage is leaking from your septic system, it can be hazardous to you, your family, pets, and the surrounding environment.
