"Tim and his crew tore out my cracked plaster ceilings and replaced them with drywall. He showed up when he said he would, met the timeline he provided, and they did a nice job cleaning up after themselves."

"I had a very high stairwell that I needed painted. I also had a section of popcorn ceiling that needed to be repaired. Both of these projects were completed perfectly and didn't cost as much as I thought it would. Would definitely recommend this company!"

"Juan was absolutely a professional! He asked to come over and look at the project so he could give me an accurate estimate and came over the same day and then had an estimate to me within the next hour. He started the job 2 days later and had the job done in a day and a half. Very courteous and cleaned up so well after the job. I would highly recommend him and if I ever need more work done he will be my first call. Photos are from my patchwork drywall and his mudding, knockdown and finishing work."

Plaster Repair questions, answered by experts

You’ll want to inspect your plaster walls for signs of damage before painting. If you notice soft spots, deep cracks, bubbling, or areas where the plaster is crumbling or pulling away from the wall, it likely needs repair. While small hairline cracks are common and likely cosmetic, you should address larger issues before painting to ensure a quality, smooth finish.

Like many other repair projects, the cost to fix a behind-the-wall shower leak depends on several factors. The cost of your repair may depend on the type of leak (from a clog or burst pipe), type of piping, and location of the leak. The extent of the issue and how difficult it is to access the pipes can greatly impact and increase your price. On average, you can expect to pay around $150 to $600 to repair a leaking shower.

Plaster is a pretty tough surface, but it can still sustain damage from things like bumping against it, water issues, dampness, extreme humidity changes, and plain old age. Most plaster walls last hundreds of years and will only be taken down to the base layer when major repairs are required. Being cautious around the wall, not placing furniture against it, and ensuring stable humidity are all great ways to reduce possible damage.

The cost to repair a ceiling after a water leak can vary, with averages ranging from $419 to $1,359, or $45 to $55 per square foot. Smaller patches may cost around $150. The final price depends on the size of the affected area and the extent of the damage. Remember that you will also need to repair the source of the leak, such as roof damage or a plumbing issue, which can cost an additional $200 to $1,550. Depending on the situation, you might also face costs for repainting or repairing floors. For an accurate estimate, it is best to get a quote from a professional.

Costs depend on damage size, labor rates, and whether additional services like painting are required.
