"Absolute horrible company and completely unprofessional. They put a key lock into my apartment door to prevent me from getting in. We got the all clear Saturday night at 6 pm that we could go home, but couldn't get into apartment because of their lock key. Called multiple times, no answer so I had to go in through the upstairs apartment and take the lock apartment to get in. After two weeks of them trying to "fix" it they are now saying I broke it when I removed the two screws to pull the lock out. They refuse to take responsibility and apparently I should have stayed in a hotel for two weeks until they got the part to fix my door. Save yourself a lot of hassle and frustration and find a company that cares about their customers."

When woodpeckers start banging on your walls or roof, they are probably looking for insects to eat, storing nuts for winter, drilling a hole to make a nest, or communicating with other birds to establish territory or find a mate.

You could also try using reflective decorative items such as pinwheels or mirrors or placing decoys of large predatory birds in your yard. If these measures don’t deter the woodpeckers, you may need the help of a bird removal pro.

You can find a variety of humane bird repellent sprays online and at home improvement stores. However, if you want to try a DIY method that will keep birds away without harming them, mix some water, dish soap, and a few drops of peppermint oil and spray the area you want bird-free.
