"King Waterproofing is a great and reliable company. I was pressed for time and King Waterproofing came through when I needed . They were very great at their job ,efficient, and neat and clean as well . They did an awesome job on my basement and didnâ t take forever to do the job and the best part is the lifetime warranty. That gave me the piece of mind I needed."
"I had tight time constraints and Sundry Waterproofing delivered! A previous plumber had dug 5-6 feet below the dirt line and made some holes in my foundation to fix a sewer drain issue. Unfortunately, the plumber never finished the job and left me with several holes in my foundation and a pile of dirt in my driveway. Upon my call, Sundry came out the next day and gave a reasonable quote to fix this, as well as replace some insufficient vapor barriers in my crawl spaces. I agreed and they were able to schedule the job quickly. On service day, the work crew, headed by William, arrived on time and got to work. The crew (especially William) was very professional and got the job done in about 3 hours. I thank William and his crew for a job well done, and Curt (the owner) for his flexibility. I highly recommended these folks. "
"They had to take out a portion of my front wall which was not planned on, and the conic quality of the concrete was not as good as I thought it should be they destroyed the brick wall that they said they would be able to save and I think they also damaged an additional plumbing line, which I’m going to have to have repaired But we did get the leaking stopped, which was the big part of the problem they had to dig up the entire front foundation down to the 8 foot footer and re-waterproof the wall put in a French drain system and a new drainage system for the gutter and a sump pump"
"I hired Rufino and his team to work on waterproofing my basement. Their quote was much more affordable than the other more commercial companies out there. They did an excellent job. We had good communication and they completed the job promptly. Rufino answered all my questions and concerns. His team left the basement and yard very clean. I highly recommend them for your waterproofing needs."
"The service we received from Sundry Waterproofing was top notch. The salesperson, Jhonatan, provided detailed information about the process which was very helpful. Jack, the foreman, along with his team executed the plans for our basement waterproofing with precision and care. The team completed the work on time.
Overall, our interaction with the team was pleasant and professional."
"We had issues with water leaking into the basement after heavy rainfall and called SunDry to give us a quote for water proofing. The job was completed and two days later it rained and our basement flooded... the sales rep, Mario, came back out and said they didnt make the flange tall enough in one corner, so the contractors came back and fixed it and it was covered under the warranty. Why they didnt do it right the first time I am not sure. Everyone considering using this company must be careful of Mario. He is a classic salesman ready to tell you exactly what you need to hear to make a sale, so be VERY careful trusting everything he is telling you. He walked around our house and pointed at random cracks and splits and said we needed foundation piers or our house is going to sink. He quoted us $5600 for the job and said it would save us money if we did it during waterproofing. We called a foundation engineer for a second opinion and were told our house was perfectly fine and in no need for foundation piers. Also be wary of the cost for put back of the dry wall/studs/finishings after the waterproofing. Sundry does not do this part of the job and will tell you it will only cost a few hundred bucks...it is not. We got a quote for $1100 from the guy that Mario referred and the price didnt even include putting the laminate flooring back. Mario was calling us every week when we first got the quote to schedule the job, but as soon as we needed something from him (to connect us with the guy for put back), he was very unresponsive and didnt stick to his estimated time frames. Marios contractors also left a mess of our basement with cement and dirt stains on our intact flooring. Other than that, the contractors did a great and speedy job and were very kind and professional. All in all, I would recommend them for their pricing is the cheapest of all other vendors we spoke to and they were very quick. I can only hope that they stay around long enough and that our warranty will always cover future leaks/issues."
"I was impressed from the time Jose visited my home, understood what needed to be done and prepared a complete estimate. This was a tricky and labor intense job. Few people wanted to take it on and I was very worried if we would ever find a way to get the work done the way it should be. The cost was fair and successfully completed, as scheduled. I am thankful I found them, called and worked with them. They exceeded our expectations! Thank you Jose and Georgia Waterproofing and Tree Service!"
"Will & Frank were great. They dug up an area from the outside and installed a French drain that went all the way to my backyard fence. No leak with today?s rain! Works splendidly!"
"Plumb Life came out ASAP after a pipe burst & flooded my basement. Couldn’t be happier with the work he’s done. I’ll be using him for all my plumbing needs & can’t recommend him enough."
Basement Waterproofing questions, answered by experts
A crawl space can be as little as 42 inches below the grade of your house, but this is not always recommended in flood-prone areas. At a minimum, there must be at least 16 inches of clearance between the ground and the floor joists to access the space in an emergency.
It depends on what caused your basement flooding, the extent of the problem, and the risk of the flood continuing. If your flood is coming from a septic system or sewer line, breathing in the sewer gasses can be dangerous, so you should vacate. If the flood occurs from an ongoing natural disaster, relocating to a safe area might be wise. If you just have a plumbing leak or rainwater coming in, you can likely stay in the house if you don’t have electrical lines down there, but make sure you call in professionals to fix the issue immediately.
It’s not the number of weep holes that should be of concern to builders but rather their spacing. Weep holes are usually spaced anywhere between 16 inches on center when using round tubes or wicking materials and 24 inches on center when using open-head joints. This is a more conservative spacing than the 33-inch maximum spacing on center that’s mentioned in the International Residential Code. All in all, the total number of weep holes a brick exterior should have will depend on the size of the structure.
Yes, professional installers use weather-resistant materials to protect the dish and cabling from environmental damage.
In nearly all cases, you are required to install a vapor barrier in your crawl space. However, local regulations will change based on the local climate and the crawl space's susceptibility to moisture. Even if a vapor barrier is not legally required, it is often a good idea to keep your crawl space dry.
