"I recently had my home insulated by Mr. Gore and his team at CHIIS LLC, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the initial consultation to the completion of the job, Mr. Gore was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to every detail. His team arrived on time, worked efficiently, and treated my home with respect throughout the entire process. They explained everything clearly and made sure all of my questions were answered. The quality of their workmanship was outstanding, and I noticed an improvement in my home’s comfort almost immediately. If you’re looking for a reliable insulation company that takes pride in its work, I highly recommend CHIIS LLC. "I was looking for someone to blow in insulation on a home I just bought and jumped on Angi List. National Energy Solutions reached out to me via phone, email and text on a Saturday evening. I was impressed with the communication and directness of Ralph and decided then that this was my pick. They came out on Monday and they were done in an hour. I will recommend this service to anyone who asks if I know an insulAtion guy."

"The bedroom above my garage always seemed extra cold from the rest of the house. As such, I decided it needed to be insulated. This is a new home -built in 2016. However, home builders appear not to insulate garage space. I found USA Insulation by google search. They had great reviews. I called, and owner Ryan Zondervan came out to my home, gave me a quote and set the date for project. His crew, Laramie and other, came out on time and informed of how they were going to do the job and showed me the insulation- very good quality. The crew was very friendly and professional. The bedroom now keeps the heat in the room better. I am so glad I found USA insulation. They are top notch and I highly recommend them."

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

You can paint over plaster, but repair any damage to the plaster first, or the paint will crack and bubble. You should also prepare the surface of the plaster to accept paint, which gives your paint job the best chance of looking good and lasting a long time. Before applying the color you want, apply a coat or two of primer. Additionally, use latex paint, and choose a latex paint with a satin finish for areas with dampness, like bathrooms.

Plastering lasts for around 15 to 20 years without needing repairs or maintenance in most cases, and with proper upkeep, plastering can last a lifetime—sometimes more than 100 years. Plaster repair costs between $1 and $3 per square foot, and you may need these services once every 15 to 20 years or so unless you have a harsh climate where humidity changes are a constant issue. You can also opt to skim-coat plaster for between $0.90 and $1.30 per square foot, which may serve you better in the long run.

Yes, cabinets are installed over drywall. The drywall must be in good condition, and you must ensure that the wall can handle the weight of the cabinets. Secure the cabinets to studs and use proper anchoring devices, like toggle bolts.

If your premixed drywall mud is dried out or has begun to set in the bucket, you may be able to revive it by adding warm water and stirring. However, the first and most important step is to scrape off any hard, dried bits of drywall that may have accumulated toward the top of the container and throw them away because they will not easily reconstitute back into the drywall mud mix.

In some minor cases, you can DIY drywall repair with minimal time and money spent. This method is best when you have a hole made by a singular problem, such as accidental furniture moving, and not a continuous problem, like a rodent infestation.

Knowing what product to use is crucial. For example, small holes only need spackle, whereas large holes might need a new piece of drywall. You can flex your DIY abilities on this project, but if you’d like a second opinion or have a more significant problem, it’s best to call in a drywall repair pro.
