"First OFF, ANGI should be ashamed to have this company as contractor. I would STRONGLY recommend not using this contractor for anything. They attempted to replace a toilet i purchased and it was not done correctly. When i tried to call them on it, the never returned my call. When i finally spoke to someone they spoke to me like i was stupid and suggested i do a google search and the plumber (another contractor) that explained their mistakes did not know what they were talking. Despite the fact they installed the toilets perfectly with no issue. They refused to make it right to my satisfaction. They are overpriced, nickel and dime you to death and have the absolute worst customer service. So if you are looking for a shady contractor who doesn't do good work, will "scam" you out of your money and provide the absolute worst customer service then i would say this the contractor for you. If you are looking for a good and reputable contractor that will do good work and provide good customer service, i will have to tell you like the tech they sent out to try to fix their mistake.... "They are nothing short of fantastic. I was quoted by another company anywhere from 5 grand to 12 grand. Turns out all I needed was a pump out and a blockage cleared for a lot less money. Thomas septic was honest and genuine. Traits so rare lately. I highly recommend them. You won’t find a team more capable or honest. Quality work done without all the bs and unneeded expenses that is Thomas septic! Honestly if I could I would give them 10 stars. Seriously call them first and you won’t need to call anyone else! I am so grateful to have found them!"

"BUYER BEWARE! Had a pipe leak within my wall. Caught it fairly early with minimum damage. The Roto Rooter rep Brian came out and inspected and said I needed water mitigation based off the moisture in my walls. When I say the leak wasn't that bad, it really wasn't! He stated that my insurance company would cover it all and that he deals with my particular company all the time and not to worry. I obviously was taken back by the cost of almost 4k! Fast forward, my insurance company are questioning duplicate charges and Roto-Rooter is saying I owe almost 3k or a lien will be placed on my property! This whole water mitigation is a scam and the salesman did not tell the truth. They should have picked up their fans a lot earlier than they did. I'm sure they were trying to milk all the money they could. Over 5k for a bunch of fans in my home. I WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE TO THIS PLACE! Contacting my lawyer and will have my day in court if necessary. BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISTS IF YOU ASK ME!"

"I consulted Angi on Easter Sunday April 20, 2025 after the septic backed up into the shower the previous night. Called several of the listed vendors; however, the only one taking call on the Holiday was Routerproxpress. The only reason I chose this company was because they could come out on Easter Sunday. They told me that they would arrive between 2 and 6 pm. I had a call at 4:30 that their trucks tanks were full and there was no place open on Easter to dump the trucks tanks. They rescheduled to Monday April 21 between two to six. I requested that they come after 4:30 since I had a very important appointment with my bank. They said they could arrange that. At 3:20 I had a call from the technician that he had located the tank and instead of the $500 quoted on the phone It would be $887, due to the large size of the septic tank at 1500 gallons and a large amount of solids. This seemed high but I wanted the problem taken care of ASAP, so I okayed the work. He also told me he thought there was a break in the line between the septic tank and the cross over line to the drainage field. Quoted over $6000 for the repair. I told him I wanted to get a second opinion and estimate before I would approve any further work. I also asked if it would be possible to use the toilets, sinks, and showers for a week or two while I did so. He said that would be okay. I instructed him to put the cover back on the tank and leave the dirt off the top. Later that night, the septic backed up again, this time flooding the basement. I contacted the office who called a manager John. John came out to see what happened at my request. He told me that he would call a water mitigation company and that routerproxpress or insurance would take care of it. A company called Propertymedics called me shortly and came out at 2 am on Tuesday am on April 22. They were pressing me to sign a work contract but I informed him (Claud) that Router pro xpress had called them out and said they would be responsible for the water mitigation. Claud said he suspected a blockage rather than a break in the line. I called the RXP office on Tuesday April22, ultimately speaking to the owner, Jeff. I explained that I was quite unhappy that we had flooded after the technician said it was okay to use the sinks, toilets . I was suspicious that the technician hadn t emptied the tank considering he was gone when I arrived 20 minutes after he had called me. And he had misdiagnosed the problem and given us the wrong information about using the sinks, toilets and showers. I said I would give him a poor review, contact Angi, and was considering a charge back to my credit card. He said the work was already done and he would put a lien on my house if I did. He said he would send a crew to do the repair and I better be ready to pay the $6000 plus bill then. I told him he should come with the crew and I would be there in person. The office said they would be out between 2 and 6 pm. In the meanwhile, I was planning to have another service provider out to diagnose my septic problem and get a quote and to be on hand when RXP showed up."

"Freedom Septic came out this morning to pump out our septic tank. I spoke to the owner the day before and he told me that it would cost $250 - $300. I chose him because of the supposed 5-star reviews. But some the reviews have to be fake, we can't be the only ones he has ripped off. He arrived yesterday morning, and after opening up the lid of the tank he exclaimed that it was in terrible condition. I was not there to observe what was so terrible, but my husband was. My husband, whom it not a novice on such things, did acknowledge that the tank was full, but that was all. There was nothing out of the ordinary, no roots, no obstruction of any piping. He also tried to convince my husband that there was SO MUCH grease on top and then when my husband disagreed with him, he than conceded that there really wasn't that much grease after all. And, our system was NOT backed up. We had just heard some gurgling a couple of times and decided we should get the tank pumped out BEFORE we had a backup problem. So, once again...our system was not backed up, just needed to be pumped out. The price went up to $2,200.00, which my husband was shocked! Then the price went to $1,600.00! I could have understood the price going up a bit more because of the tank being so full, but not FIVE times as much! That is gouging and taking advantage. We went ahead and had him pump it out, since he already had it opened up. After the shock and despair wore off, I called the owner myself asking why the price was so high. He informed me that our septic tank was "abused" since it hadn't been serviced as often as it should. But, once again, I point out it was not backed up and it was working properly. He also said that the solids on top were so thick he couldn't pump it out right away. My husband was observing the process the whole time and said that is a lie. He saw the owner poke a shovel/probe into the tank with no problems and then pumped the tank out with no difficulties. There was no huge problem like he tried to portray. Then he proceeded to tell me that "The name of my company is Freedom Septic; you could have told us to leave and get a second opinion". He had a bad and uncaring attitude from the beginning. I am going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. And, he owes me a refund of some sort. I would never recommend him to anyone!"
