"Cedarwood Forest LLC did a substantial addition to my home from Nov 2024 until David quit our project and we had to take over in July 2025. While David told us our project would take 5 months, we came to see early on that was unrealistic. Things were chaotic and poorly done from the beginning and communication was terrible. There were multiple subcontractors for every trade. We had to stay on David to ensure many things were corrected. In the end, he left us an unfinished project and a number of unpaid subcontractors. We had to figure how to get an overflowing dumpster and disgusting port a potty picked up. Ive ended up with a nice addition but it came at insanely high cost financially and emotionally."

Emperial Hardwood Floors is a family business owned by the husband-and-wife team of Ricky and Lori Core and is a Home Reports Best Pick for the fourteenth consecutive year. Emperial specializes in refinishing hardwood floors, installing solid strip flooring, and also re-coating hardwood floors. The company began serving Atlanta-area homeowners in 1979. We also feather dust cabinets, countertops, and walls after job completion. In addition, we specialize in today's high-traffic finishes. We had a white-washed stain/finish applied to all our hardwood floors throughout the entire house (~2,400 sq.ft.). We also had both front and rear staircases replaced with new tread/risers, newel posts and railings, and balusters replaced with decorative wrought iron.
