"It was Friday afternoon when I discovered my air conditioner was not working. After trying several times to get it started with no success, I called Total Comfort. The serviceman was there in less than an hour. As usual he was neatly uniformed, very polite and mindful of tracking leaves into the house. He examined the unit and reported the damaged wire and capacitor to me. He gave me a break on the price of the repair because another serviceman from his company had been here only about a week earlier and was the last person to touch the unit, meaning he may have caused the problem, or, at least, not identified it at that time.

"OK. The price was in the middle of the quotes that I received, which were all over the place from $8k to $20k. They didn't try to push unnecessary or complicated solutions on me and went with the basic install that I wanted. The system seems to be working fine six months later. Weather caused the crew to get behind schedule and they were rushing things a bit toward the end. A few details like sealing around the floor to duct connections and putting the insulation back around the openings for the duct work weren't finished up quite the way I expected but, that's not a big deal. Overall I am satisfied. I would use them again."

*** I have recently added the Nashville area to my service coverage. Since I can do most of my services remotely with you over the phone, I am hoping to eventually open up to larger markets and help people from having to take their computer in to get it fixed, if it has internet access, I can usually fix it over the Internet. Just trying to do more to help my Angies List customers!!******** I am a sole proprietor that works out of my home. I am my only employee, but I have over 20 years experience fixing computers, and providing superior customer service. I work on a flat rate service, and don't charge by the hour because I feel it's important to educate the customer on what the issue is/was, and how to avoid it in the future. I feel that local service companies (my competition) have been overcharging customers for years. I offer a first time customer discount of 10% but I will offer 15% off for first time customers referred by Angies List. I've lived in the Huntsville area most all my life, so I know the area very well. I will never use a subcontractor as I am very picky about making sure that if my name and company is associated with something, it will be the best experience my customer has ever had, and using sub contractors won't ensure that, so I prefer to do all the work myself. Lastly, I should point out that I am a former offensive lineman for the University of Southern Mississippi and was Brett Favre's center his freshman year at Southern. I went on to play for Tom Landry in his last year, but gave up pro football early on to pursue my passion of fixing computers. If I didn't have bills to pay, I would do this for free because I love it! If you have a computer problem, I promise you that you couldn't find a better technician that will care about you as a customer, and not about the bottom line. I am always available, but don't always answer my phone, but if you leave a message, I promise to back with you as soon as possible...and figure out how to get your issue resolved in a quick, efficient and economical manner. Thanks so much for reading my ad, and I look forward to working for you!

"Jeff showed up right on time and proceeded to go through the house explaining all the potential moisture problems associated with our house. Ultimately, he decided we didn't need expensive repairs, but a better dehumidifier and better drainage for the outside of the house.
We have followed his recommendations with modifications to the guttering and a beefed up dehumidifier. In short, what I was afraid might have cost us $10,000 was actually $1500 for guttering and dehumidifier. The downstairs is perfectly comfortable now and humidity stays below 55%.
If you have moisture problems, do not miss the chance to meet with Jeff.

"It went just fine, no complaints! I would use them again. Apparently there is an additional $20 cost if you have a certain dryer vent configuration, but mine did not require the additional cost. It would have been nice to know this up front."

"I had purchased a big deal for the service. I had a little difficulty getting a hold of them, but when they showed up they were great, and did what they were supposed to do. I paid additional for the vents. I think they are probably market price. He worked hard. Everything was fine after I got a hold of them, but it was just the initial contact."
