To calculate how much siding you need for exterior walls, first measure the height and width of the rectangular walls. For the triangular gable walls, measure the width and then the height from the ground to the tallest gable point.

Once you add these up, include an additional 10% to account for any wastage.

Avoid using high-pressure washing and keep sharp objects away to prevent scratches. Check for mold or mildew and clean with a mixture of water and mild detergent. Take preventive measures to avoid fading, such as minimizing exposure to direct sunlight and using color-safe cleaning products. With proper maintenance, vinyl siding can retain its appearance for years.
