"Mr. Zavala and his crew repaired the drywall in my mother-in law's house. The drywall was damaged in several places by a plumber searching for a leak. Their work was so good I hired them to do additional work."

Small jobs welcome

"Philip with Peachtree Fix sent out Harold to our home for some drywall repair and paint touch ups. He was amazing on all levels! He was kind and respectful of our home. He left it the way he found it. He was careful to protect us from breathing in drywall from the sanding. And his finishing paint blending and touch ups are seamless and look great. Price is reasonable, as well. Overall, thumbs up and highly recommend! Thank you Peachtree Fix!"

"This has been the best service Iâ ve experienced. Leo provides great customer service and is very thorough. Letâ s not forget the best pricing in town along with quality work. I canâ t ask for anything more. He repaired my back door jams and baseboard along my stairwell. He will be coming back to paint the whole interior of my 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath house in the next week or so. Just his professionalism and knowledge alone during his visit when he came to give an estimate had me sold. I HIGHLY recommend his services to anyone and everyone. He will painting my sister's home as well. I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Yes, a one-story house can have a load-bearing wall. The load-bearing walls in a single-story home are usually the exterior walls. If the house has a basement with exposed walls, the arrangement of the beams can help indicate what walls are load-bearing.

Plaster is denser, harder, and more porous than drywall, so it absorbs moisture differently. This means you’ll often need more prep work, such as thorough sanding, patching, and priming with a high-quality bonding primer. Additionally, you may need more coats of paint to achieve even coverage. While the process takes more time, it helps ensure a durable and professional-looking result.

Yes, taping inside corners is a critical step in the drywall installation process.  Properly taping inside corners is essential for achieving a professional look, and an installation that resists cracking and maintains its integrity over time. Taping the corners involves the application of a joint compound along the seam where two drywall pieces meet. This process provides reinforcement, conceals the seam, and prevents future gaps or cracks from developing.

Cracks, holes, water damage, and dents from heavy equipment often require repair.

Ceiling-mounted curtains won’t damage the ceiling if they’re installed properly. Using the right anchors or securing the brackets into joists will ensure the curtain weight is properly supported and prevent damage. However, overtightening screws, using weak anchors, or repeatedly removing and reinstalling hardware in the same spot can cause cracking or sagging over time. In that case, you might have to call a pro for ceiling repair.
