"We live in a wooded area that doesn’t allow for much grass to grow, but it sure does love moss and weeds. I called Dale and he came out to assess my situation. I needed the leaves to be blown that were left over from Fall, some mowing and a lot of weed trimming. Dale and his team did a great job and we were very pleased their work. Dale is a true professional and a pleasure to work with (Great Guy!). I will not hesitate to call on him for my next project. Thanks Dale!"

"Graham is not your average landscaper who limits his service to lawn maintenance. Graham is a horticulturalist. I needed someone to prep my garden for sale. Graham cleaned the needs, refreshed pine bark nuggets, pruned shrubs and trees, removed a distressed pine, pressure washed a boulder AND he understood how to care for my much loved and painstakingly grown garden of plants and accent trees. Graham fit the bill 100% and apparently my neighbors noticed who I was entrusting my garden to and 4 of them hired him on-the-spot! Graham obviously loves what he does AND has the knowledge to help you select the right plants/trees for your garden AND maintain them properly. I just wish I'd met him 22 years ago when I started my journey of building my garden. We would have had lots of creative fun. Now that I'm moving, I feel confident that he can sustain and expand all outdoor beauty food the new owners."

FAQs for weed maintenance projects in Duluth, GA

The cost to reseed or overseed a lawn is about $1,050 on average, ranging from $450 to $1,700, depending on lawn size, seed type, and location. Popular seed types for residential lawns include bahia, fescue, and Bermuda. Keep in mind that it costs $0.10 to $0.20 per square foot to seed or overseed a lawn. Additional cost factors may include:

  • Fertilization: $80–$400

  • Soil testing: $700–$2,100

  • Yard cleanup and leaf removal: $200–$560

  • Treating weeds: $110–$325

  • Mowing: $50–$210

On average, the cost of lawn fertilization is $250, ranging from $80 to $400, depending on the size of the lawn, its current condition, additional treatments, number of applications, fertilizer type, and location. Keep in mind that labor, tools, and equipment make up 80% to 90% of the total cost of lawn fertilization. Additional lawn treatment options include:

  • Lime treatment: $100–$150 per 1,000 square feet

  • Crabgrass treatment: $30–$80

  • Grub treatment: $30–$80

  • Mulching: $150–$400

  • Dethatching: $265–$295

Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.

When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Landscaping costs around $3,500 but varies widely from $200 to $14,000. Factors that play a part in your final landscaping price tag include:

  • Location

  • Yard size

  • Project size

  • Materials

  • Land preparation

  • Type of landscaping

Considering so many factors, it’s not surprising that the overall costs can differ. A typical landscaping project is flower bed installation, which averages between $800 and $3,000. However, landscape lighting installation is a higher-end project, with a price tag of $2,000 to $6,000
