"They did a great job. Managed to site finish new floors to match 55 year old floor. Really awesome job and very clean. They also took up tile floors and built up the subfloor while not adding to the quoted cost"

Small jobs welcome

"Absolutely wonderful experience with Oak Street Painting! This team is so friendly and amazing, and their work is top notch. They did all of the hard stuff: moving the furniture back and forth, sweeping the floors, even taking out our trash! They arrived both days, promptly at 8:00 a.m., ready to go. They kindly worked around my kiddos and all of their toys, turning our horrendous, matte, agreeable gray painted walls into a gorgeous, cake battered new living space! They even hung the living room curtains back up for us! Our house looks amazing thanks to Dallas and his outstanding team. We'll definitely use them again in the future!"

"If you’re looking to have concrete work done, I’d highly recommend Sudlow Concrete, right here in Tucker. We needed a parking pad poured adjacent to our driveway and I couldn’t be happier with Bill and the team, from the office to the crew. Solomon and his crew arrived on time, were very knowledgeable, detailed, and answered all of our questions. They had to remove some remnants of a tree stump to level the area. They were careful with the existing concrete and lawn area and still completed the job in half a day or so."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can seal an old concrete floor as long as you remove stains and repair damage before sealing. Remove everything from the garage and clear the floor throughout with a concrete cleaner and power washing. Fill in cracks larger than 1/8 of an inch wide and remove all grease and rust stains before sealing. Make sure your concrete is fully dried before applying sealer.

With so many vastly different options to choose from, how can you find an inexpensive garage floor that you can also confidently say is the best? The right solution will be different for everyone and truly depends on your individual needs and stylistic tastes.

If you’re working with a smaller budget, a low-cost coating such as paint, sealer, or stain might be the best way to express your style in the garage. If you need a high-performance surface that can handle the tough projects and maintenance you do in the garage, or if you want a wide range of colorful customization options, flexible tiles might be for you.

Driveway installation is challenging. While chip seal might sound easier to apply than asphalt, the process still involves heavy machinery and professional skills. Unless you come from a construction background, we recommend hiring an asphalt company to chip seal your new driveway. If you are paving the driveway entirely with chip seal, expect to pay $5 to $10 per square foot.

You’ll usually need to prime a garage floor before painting—especially if the floor is unpainted. Garage floors are made from concrete, which is porous and produces dust. The dust can contaminate the paint and cause issues with adherence.

Primer creates a barrier and gives you a clean surface to work on. It also minimizes absorption to help give you an even, pro-looking paint job. Make sure you choose a primer that’s specifically designed to cover concrete flooring.

A concrete seal can protect your garage floor from water and stains as can an epoxy coating. The main difference is that epoxy is much more durable and better for heavy-duty wear and tear—it’s used in more industrial and commercial settings. If you’re just using the garage as storage for tools and your car, concrete sealer will do just fine. But if your garage doubles as a workshop for side projects and auto repair, epoxy will hold up better.
