"Ascending Tree Service provided excellent tree service. They carefully took down trees over the house and garage. They ground roots and stumps and pulled vines. They cleaned up and left things looking even better than when they arrived. My property looks fantastic! They were prompt and affordable. I highly recommend Johnathan and Ascending Tree Service!"

"Given a lack of hurricanes locally, Rickâ s tree service was able to give me an excellent price to remove two big pines and several smaller nuisance trees. After a short delay to get their crane fixed, they showed up on the day promised and not only removed the trees but also ground the stumps. I could not be more satisfied with their service and would recommend them highly. They were very professional and did quick work. I have zero complaints about their work and am quite happy to have contracted them to do the work."

"Noah Fitzgerald of Premium Landscaping is great to work with!  My husband and I just built a home and was looking for someone that would actually "listen" to what we wanted.  Even though we live on the coast, our home is located in a more country setting and we did not want the same ole "coastal living" look with palm trees etc. and were looking for a more serene look and low maintenance.  Noah listened to our ideas and made recommendations that would work for us and the area we live in.  He was prompt for every meeting and if he said he would be there working, he was.  He even helped facilitate finding someone to design and install our fire pit as well.  He goes out of his way to help his customers.   Professional, courteous, friendly and customer service oriented!

"I had a huge pine tree in my yard. Limb fell on my car and totalled it. I had used Floyd's Tree Service before. Knew they did great work. They not only cut the 120 foot, at least, down. They also trimmed limbs off the pine tree beside it and cut down a dogwood tree. They ground the stumps and cleaned up well. I will definitely use Floyd's again and recommend them to everyone. Also best price around for all that work."

"They did a fantastic job at a fair price. I highly recommend them. If you have any personal questions, you can email me at inbox62**[email protected]. UPDATE 07/21/2021: I hired R and D on 5/27/2021. I had a large pine tree in my backyard removed and an adjacent pine pruned. I could not be happier with the work that was performed. Rodney (the owner) and his son are very responsive. They immediately reached out to me after I requested a free quote using Angi / HomeAdvisor. Rodney called me Tuesday night and He and his son came by Wednesday morning to discuss what I wanted to be done and quote me a price. I was really impressed with these two guys and agreed to have the work done immediately. The price they quoted me was more than fair and the work performed was first class. My beloved mother even tipped all four guys after the work was completed. These guys arrived promptly at approx. 9 AM and they finished up about 3 PM that afternoon. These professionals were efficient and fast. The tree is now gone. They picked everything up (left yard clean) and hauled it off. I personally highly recommend them to anyone who needs tree removal work done. You will not be disappointed. If I need more work done in the future, I will not hesitate to reach out to these guys again. If you want to ask me any questions about them, you can e-mail me personally at [email protected]."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The cost of professional tree service, such as trimming, is $460 on average, but the price can range from $75 to $1,800. A more typical range is between $200 and $760. The final price depends on several factors, including the size and type of the tree. For example, trimming Crepe Myrtle trees costs an average of $80 to $400, while giant pine trees can range from $200 to $1,800. Other factors that influence the cost include the time of year, as services are often more expensive in the spring. Your location can also play a role; costs may be higher if you live in a remote area or if the tree is difficult to access. However, some professionals may offer a discount if you have multiple trees that need service.

The cost of trees varies massively based on the size of the tree and the species. A small Colorado spruce can cost as little as $30, but a golden rain tree of the same size can cost $90. Large trees can cost $1,500 or more, depending on their species and height.

There are a few instances in which removing a tree is the best option. You might do this if the tree looks to be a major danger—potentially falling onto your home, your car, or other parts of your property—or it’s diseased beyond repair. A tree that is growing too close to your house might need to be removed to prevent mold growth.

If it’s your property, then you can plant a tree near power lines, but it’s not the best idea. Any vegetation that grows within 10 feet or so of power lines will fall under the responsibility of the utility company, and they may trim or remove it as necessary. If you do move forward with your plan, try to choose a smaller ornamental tree, plant it as far away from the power lines as you can, and keep it trimmed to avoid future problems.

Yes, cutting a tree's roots can cause it to fall, particularly if major support roots are severed. In extreme cases, trimming roots can affect the tree's structure and stability. Many crucial roots are located just below the soil's surface. If you make severe cuts to roots more than 2 inches in diameter, you risk impacting the tree's water flow and its ability to withstand severe winds or storms. Even cutting roots less than half an inch in diameter under or outside the tree's canopy can cut off its water supply, causing it to decline, die, and eventually topple.
