"TLC Lighting Pros installed a chandelier in my foyer. They arrived promptly, were extremely courteous and hung the fixture to my desired height. I was very impressed with the crew, cost and completed job. I will definitely contact them for future lighting needs. Also, the cost was much more reasonable than other companies I had contacted for the same job. Highly recommend!"

"Jeremy and his crew showed up on time and kept everything within the budget. They were very efficient and cleaned up afterwards. They also took the time to educate me on how the lighting system works. I can’t say enough good things about Jeremy and the crew’s quality of work. The lighting system they installed is beautiful and really sets off the details of the house. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again for future projects."

"I have never had anyone do work for me that was as competent, reliable and a pleasure to have in your home. When you are told they will be ready to work at 9:00 ,you can set your watch to him being there as promised. I am amazed at the work ethic displayed by Emery. I thought this kind of reliability and knowledge was a thing of the past. I wouldnâ t hesitate to hire him for any job or project."

"From working through the quote with Brian to solving all the issues in my home with Paul and Antonio, I found NRG to be great. I gave them a lot to do and much of it had issues due to the age and style of my log cabin home. They did an excellent job and I am grateful to have had such a professional and hard working team."

"We are so happy with our decision to use Courtney for her Interior Design expertise. She did such a fantastic job using our furniture, lamps, artwork and accessories to transform our new home into a showplace. I feel like we live in a page out of Southern Living magazine. Our friends are amazed at the results. All they can say is "Oh my gosh!" when they see the pictures. My husband and I have such a hard time choosing paint colors but with Courtney's help we chose a beautiful color that we love and can't stop staring at. Courtney went above and beyond our expectations. She showed up with her bag of tools, started hanging pictures and created beautiful gallery walls. She hung pictures in ways we would have never considered but I guess that's what you get with a Super Talented Designer. Courtney is always available to Facetime with us when we are at Antique stores to give us advice on our selections. We are so thankful to have her as our Designer. We feel like we live in a Showplace. Thank you, Courtney!!"

Lighting questions, answered by experts

The cost to repair a short circuit depends on the type of repair. A faulty outlet or simple loose wire can be a simple fix that might only cost a handful of dollars. For example, if you need to rewire a house, you’ll spend around $2 to $4 per square foot, but replacing an entire electrical panel costs anywhere from $500 to $2,100.

The majority of potential burglars are amateurs looking to make a quick buck after breaking and entering. By installing motion-sensor lights, alarm systems, and security cameras, throughout the home, there’s a good chance you will deter crime on your property.

Testing tools, such as Christmas light testers, non-contact proximity electrical testers, and multimeters, all simplify the process of testing Christmas lights. However, without one or more of those tools, testing Christmas lights the old-fashioned way only works sometimes. Without testing tools, the simplest testing method is visual inspection, which may or may not yield positive results.

Durations range from an hour for simple jobs to full workdays for significant upgrades.

If half of a string of Christmas lights is out, it is likely because of a single burned-out, loose, or broken bulb within that section. Long strands of lights often contain more than one circuit, so when one bulb fails, it can cause the entire circuit (or half the strand) to go dark. To fix this, inspect the unlit section and test each bulb to ensure it is tight and functioning properly. Replacing the faulty bulb or repairing a damaged shunt will typically solve the problem.
