"The crew of three men arrived as promised. They were polite and professional throughout the entire process. They kept me informed of what they were doing and asked my preference several times along the way. They covered our furniture and floors and were very conscientious about protecting our belongings. The company owner stopped by to check on the job both days of work. The actual work was jack hammering 8 inches of basement floor for 36 feet at the foot of the wet wall. They carried out all the debris and carried in clean gravel to lay in the trench along with a pvc pipe with holes in it for drainage. Then they covered the pipe with more clean gravel. They installed a drain in the system in the event of major water (we don't have this problem but it's great to have should a water pipe break or something in the future) and installed a pump to move the water out of the basement. They installed a drain into which we can directly drain our dehumidifier and installed another drain access along the wall if we would ever want to move the dehumidifier or install another one. They also installed a drain against the wet wall that would drain into the drain and pump system. Then they cemented over the trench so all that is visible is a fraction of an inch of drain against the wall and you wouldn't even know it was there unless you stood very close to the wall and looked down. The place was a mess throughout the process -- it's just a dirty, messy job. But the crew cleaned up after themselves and, aside from the inevitable light coat of dust on most surfaces, they left our place as they found it originally. I couldn't ask for more of them. The only item left is for the electrician to install a GFCI box for the pump and dehumidifier. AAA does not do electrical work but they contacted one for me and we are making those arrangements now. Overall, this was a great job and I couldn't be more pleased. I'm very glad we went with Jeff and Donna and their crew for this project. "

"What an Amazing Company!! I had a Major Plumbing Issue after my son knocked the top off the toilet and busted the pipe that connects the water in to the wall. I got on Angie List and found Free Emergency Plumber.Com and within a half hour they were at my house. Not only did they fix the leak and the pipe for FREE, but the technician was also able to assist me in getting my house dried out (slightly flooded three or four rooms)! The guys at Free Emergency Plumber.Com even helped when dealing with my insurance company. Start to finish they handled just about everything for me, all I had to do was sit back and let them work. Amazing company, Amazing people, I highly recommend Free Emergency Plumber.Com."
No. You should dispose of all oil-based finishing products through a local hazardous waste program. Not only can oil-based finishes be hazardous for the environment if disposed of in the sink, but they can cause clogs in your pipes and stop up your drains. Most municipal garbage or waste disposal companies have a specific location or pick-up schedule for hazardous materials, so that’s your best bet to get rid of excess finishing products.
To get rid of a sewer smell in your crawl space, you’ll have to find the source of the problem. If it has to do with your sewer lines, then repairing the line will help. You may need to make other repairs, like fixing your sump pump or encapsulating your crawl space to reduce moisture. After you make the repair, depending on the issue, you may still need to clean out your crawl space to get rid of the stink.
Septic tanks can clog if they aren’t pumped every few years since solid waste accumulates inside of them. Your tank might also clog if you have a habit of flushing anything other than human waste or toilet paper. Items like diapers, baby wipes, paper towels, cat litter, and personal hygiene products should never go down your pipes.
Your clothes—and your washing machine—will send you a few signals if you’re overdue for cleaning your washing machine filter. If you notice a buildup of detergent residue on your clothes, your clothes don’t dry quickly or at all, or you’re noticing lint in the machine, it’s time to clean the filter.
Grease buildup, tree roots, and foreign objects often cause blockages. Regular maintenance prevents major issues.
