"The yard at my rental house had been neglected. I hired MAGANA to remove overgrowth, edge, mow, clean gutters and leaf removal. They pretty much worked sun up to after sundown to complete the job in one day. I will call Jonatan again for yard services as well as other home improvement services he can provide. I was lucky to find someone who was willing to show up as promised, do the work for the price quoted, provided excellent customer service and performed quality work. The neighbor must have been impressed with them because they hired him to do their yard as well."

"He went out of his way to find flowers I’d like for a new bed—a surprise I wanted for my husband. Then stayed for hours planting and arranging them. I never even saw him take a break. He was determined, and succeeded, in getting it done on short notice. Very happy with his service as I felt he cared about my needs. He even left me with pointers for continuing the bed. And called to see how it was doing."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

The safest way to remove lead-based paint is by letting a professional take over. For most people, lead paint removal costs an average of $3,400. You should never attempt to dry sand old lead-based paint surfaces by hand. Most professionals use a paint stripper to do the job followed by wet scraping, but if you don’t want to remove lead paint, another option is to paint over it. Only consider this option if the old lead paint finish isn’t flaking or cracked.

You may see specialty products for sale to remove lead dust, such as D-Lead surface wipes. But you do not need to buy a special cleaner just for lead dust. A regular all-purpose cleaner, like 409 or something similar, is sufficient for cleanup. Just make sure to follow the manufacturer's directions when using it and to dilute with water.

The best disposal method for hazardous waste is to take it to a professional dumping facility that specializes in and accepts hazardous materials. These facilities will dispose of the materials in a way that is safe for both humans and the environment. If you don’t have access to a nearby facility, the best way to get rid of hazardous waste is to call a professional garbage removal company who handles disposing of hazardous materials .

Lead toxicity comes from inhaling lead or consuming it. Before the 1980s, when the government banned lead from consumer use, it could be found in paint, plumbing, pipes, ceramics, and even gasoline. Lead paint is toxic for the same reason lead itself is toxic, which is why lead poisoning from paint presents the same as lead poisoning from water or food sources, with a slight increase in respiratory symptoms vs. digestive symptoms. Lead paint is most dangerous when it’s old and peeling, cracking, or otherwise disturbed. This increases the concentration in the air and, therefore, in breathable air.

Lead removal can take a few days to several weeks, depending on the work needed, particularly if the lead is widespread and in hard-to-reach areas.
