"They responded promptly. Chad (the employee) found the cracked pipe quickly and repaired it. He also repaired another issue identified to him. He finally recommended that the area be allowed to dry before the wall is repaired. He was extremely professional."

"I knew we had found our plumber after talking to Mike on the phone....so personable and easy to talk to and a man who knows PLUMBING!!! I doubt you would have a problem he could not solve!! He made himself available right away on Jan. 1st and 2nd (no holiday fees) and solved our issues so I have time to sit and review him today. He works around the Atlanta area and does new installations as well as repairs that are located quite a distance from his home. His skilled helper, Kevin, and Mike worked very hard to quickly resolve our problems and we will not hesitate to call Mike the Plumber in the future!"

This was a very pleasant experience. Jason keeps you informed as to what is going on and what to expect, Go with his recommendations (my exhaust fan is so quiet) he is very knowledgeable, also I followed his advice on the choice of floor tile, I just love the result and it saved me money

Collin, Ben, Charles and the whole Affordable Handyman crew are very professional, and take pride in their work. They cleaned up well and Collin during the recent cold snap saw my outdoor faucet cover  in the garage and put it on for me so the pipes would not freeze. That just shows how they truly care about doing a good job and they want you to be completely happy with the project.

Six years ago I had my other bathroom remodeled the contractor I used had a A plus rating with the BBB short story I would not recommend or use them again.  Beware some contractors mission is to just slap it in and get paid.

Tip: I typed a  SCOPE OF WORK detailing the work to be done for the project. I gave a copy to every contractor that I received a

estimate from this way you are comparing apples to apples and the contractor can make their notes on it..  It took me 3 years to plan and find the right contractor for my project.  Not all contractors will give you a written estimate (not good) or the story is they are real busy and can't get to your project for about 3 months but for half done that will lock in your start date (think twice)

I am glad that I took my time to find the right  contractor and I am 100% happy with the experience and results.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AFFORDABLE HANDYMAN JASON AND HIS CREW ARE VERY NICE. PROFESSIONAL, AND DO HIGH QUALITY WORKMANSHIP AT A VERY FAIR AND REASONABLE PRICE.

"My crawlspace was wet, moldy, and just nasty. The insulation was soaking wet and it smelled awful. I called five different companies to come out and give me quotes on what they thought needed to be done. I had quotes all over the board ranging from $7,000 all the way up to $48,000. Southern dry was not the cheapest but no where near the most expensive. I decided to use them because Kevin the sales associate I used fully explained the process and broke down each step to where I could understand what was going to be accomplished and what materials would be used. They were even willing to accommodate my special request of adding an extra door to have access under my porch. The installation team, Cha-Chi, Michael, and Ventura were absolutely outstanding. They communicated well and made me fully aware when each step of the process would be taking place. They also always arrived on time and made sure to clean up any trash after each day of work. All in all, SouthernDry is a top notch company with top notch employees to match, would recommend them to anyone."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Common drain issues include slow-running drains, whether in a sink or shower, clogged drains, a bad smell, and water backing up into a sink, shower, or bathtub. Causes range from hair, grease, roots, or toilet paper clogging the drainpipes to flooding outside the home, which prevents sewer lines from draining properly.

A small amount of diluted bleach is okay to pour down a garbage disposal. As part of your weekly garbage disposal maintenance, use 1 teaspoon of bleach with your concoction of ice cubes and lemon peels. Turn on the disposal and run the water until the blades chop up the ice cubes.

Any more bleach in your disposal can harden oils and greases in your drain, which can cause problems. Always wear gloves when working with bleach, and know that you really don’t need bleach at all—vinegar, baking soda, salt, and ice should do the trick.

If you try a drain snake and various DIY methods for unclogging drains to no avail, bring in a professional plumber to assess the situation. Also, if multiple drains in your home are backing up or you smell sewage, a visit from a plumber is best. You can expect your drain cleaning costs to fall around $250, and this can include an assessment of what’s caught in your plumbing and if there’s a larger, underlying problem. You should also consider calling a pro if you need to snake a toilet, as DIYing this could lead to a cracked fixture.

Grease buildup, tree roots, and foreign objects often cause blockages. Regular maintenance prevents major issues.

If you drop jewelry down your sink, it can cause a clog, especially if it accumulates other debris on its way down. However, that is the least of your worries if you drop your favorite jewelry down your drain. If your gold band goes tumbling down the sink drain, don’t panic—refrain from running more water down the sink, and follow the steps above.
