"Levi is a TOPNOTCH professional and offers free consultation to get a project started. I did not have any idea of where to start. Levi listened and offered several options to fit my budget and goals for an outdoor custom bar for my downtown sports bar. I am beyond elated with the outcome, and am ready to hire again for a custom VIP bar."
"I live in Florida. My elderly uncle, who lives in Adamsville, Alabama, needed some grab bars installed in his shower after he was released from Rehab after a fall. He did not know who to call for this job. He's concerned about getting ripped off and didn't know who to trust. After our phone conversation I googled "Handyman near Adamsville, AL" and saw Home Advisor as one of the results. Since I have my own handyman here in Florida, I completely forgot about Home Advisor even after all the TV commercials I've seen. On Thursday evening I searched Home Advisor and got Bruce Electric as the referral. Bruce does way more than electric. He is an all around handyman. His reviews were great so I made the inquiry. Bruce contacted me the next morning. I explained to him that this was for my elderly uncle, not for myself. He said he would be happy to help and he would be able to do the job right away. I spoke to my uncle yesterday (Friday) afternoon and gave him Bruce's number and told him I found Bruce on Home Advisor. I told my uncle that Bruce had good reviews and I had spoken to Bruce and he did not have to worry about getting cheated. My uncle said he had just seen a Home Advisor commercial the day before and didn't even think about contacting you. I gave my uncle Bruce's number and Bruce came out this morning (Saturday) and took care of the job. He came to the house and measured the shower walls, went to Home Depot and purchased the items for the job and came back and did the job right away, as well as one other small thing my uncle needed. I just called my uncle to see how Bruce did. My uncle said he did a great job. He did everything he said he would do. He said Bruce was very respectful, professional, nice, courteous and honest. Bruce cleaned up after the job was complete. My uncle was very pleased with Bruce's work and said he will call Bruce again for any future work that he may need to have done. Uncle Kenneth was also happy to hear that Bruce lives nearby. Although I initiated this job from 500 miles away, it went smoothly and the job was completed about 40 hours after I made the inquiry. Thanks Home Advisor. And thank you Bruce Electric for taking great care of my uncle!"
"AFMS's tagine should be, "There ain't no traffic jam on the Extra Mile"... This company went the extra mile and did so with a smile in spite of challenges encountered during the installation of the backyard privacy fence. Lots of granite rock to dig through and engineering a solid, beautiful gate while working with existing chain link and 60 yr old concrete. The crew was very professional and respectful, nice hardworking young men. The fence is beautiful and they made sure all work materials and debris were fully removed. It was a pleasure working with Adam and I will be hiring again for installing a ranch fence for front yard. Adam takes pride in his craft and delivers a professional business plan."
"Very professional. I needed an area rug to be installed and last minute had some artwork hung in the bedroom and living room. Ameer did an excellent job. I would absolutely hire him again."
"I hired Jimiba Remodeling to install drywall in the office portion of an outbuilding on my property. Fernando was great to work with. He procured all the materials needed, installed and mudded the drywall on one day then returned to sand and the finish the drywall a couple of days later. I was so pleased with his work that I excpanded he drywall task to include painting, LVP florring installation and moulding installation for the baseboards and door casing. O cannot say enough good things about Jimiba Remodeling!"
"It was fair. He was punctual. Had to find the screen door myself but wasn't too bad. Install was fine; he had to touch up a few things afterwards. Door still need some patch up work after install like putting weather strips in to fill a little opening and paint an area."
"Limitless Renovations handled the remodel of our bathroom, which included oreplacing our lighting fixtures, removing a bathtub and replacing it with a shower, replacing our vanity and it's plumbing, replacing the flooring, changing a door and painting the bathroom. They also painted an adjoining bedroom and closet and replaced the flooring in both spaces. Simon, who handled all of the bathroom renovation except for the flooring, painting and installing the glass for the shower, Eric who installed all of the flooring and Manny who did all of the painting were all a pleasure to work with. They all appeared on time, did their jobs well, were easy to communicate with and asked for our input as the work progressed and cleaned up the spaces they were working in at the end of the day. Kristy, who we dealt with over the telephone during the renovation was easy to reach, kept us advised as to any schedule changes and and handled any changes well. We are very pleased with the outcome."
"Moran and his crew did outstanding work replacing fiberglass shower/bath inserts in two bathrooms with tile and glass enclosures. It involved correcting some structural problems, extending a wall, and dealing with a defective shower door. Moran helped me along the way with decisions about tile layout and placement of fixtures. The result is two beautiful showers that I love!"

It is legal to put bars on windows in most places, but it depends on the type of bars you choose and the regulations in your area. For example, there are building codes in Mississippi, California, and Texas that forbid the use of permanently closed burglar bars on windows due to concerns about people getting trapped inside during fires.

Strike plates and security plates are the same thing, but there are strike plates that offer more security than others. For the highest security, look for plates made of heavy-duty steel, reinforced strike plates thicker than regular ones, and extended strike plates. It’s much harder to break into a door with these strike plates because they hold up better to force from attempted entry.
In addition to window well covers or bars, you can take a few more steps to boost basement window security. Try motion-activated lighting; it scares off potential intruders by lighting up when someone gets too close. Strengthening your window glass with impact-resistant security film can also deter forced entry. A dependable home security system with window sensors and cameras offers real-time monitoring and alerts for added protection. Lastly, fostering good relationships with neighbors can establish a supportive community watch network, enhancing your home's safety.
To make your gate safe, purchase a gate made from strong material such as wrought iron, stainless steel, or other metals. Ensure that the gate has strong joints and bars that are welded on rather than inserted loosely. If you’re concerned about people climbing over your gate, you can deter them by installing fence spikes along the top as an extra precaution.
