"The crew was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. They actually saved me money and it was their recommendation! I am very pleased with their work, so far. Just completed sealing my chimney from leakage so time will tell if this fixed my problems, but I feel confident that it will."

"This is actually the 2nt time we had work done by Quentin at Chimney Solutions. First, installing a cap on a fireplace chimney last year (including sweep etc), second repacking a cap on a furnace exhaust pipe. Both times it was absolutely professional and an enjoyable experience. Quentin went the extra mile to make the job’s result look fantastic. We highly recommend Chimney Solutions and Quentin’s really great!"

"Recently hired this company for a chimney sweep and was shocked that their quote was better then the other 3 I had already gotten. As well as being a better deal their technician was very well informed and made me feel extremely comfortable with their knowledge. We scheduled an appointment, and they arrived 20 minutes early and began working. The team did a great job and left my house cleaner then it was when they started. I could not recommend their service enough"

"Eric did a great job. He arrived within the window of time provided. After inspecting the chimney he shared his recommendation and the pricing. All the work was completed in the single visit. He was careful to cover the work area and cleaned up everything. Eric showed me pictures of the work. I highly recommend Chimney E."

Chimney Sweep questions, answered by experts

The first step in fire damage restoration is having a pro come in right away to help control moisture (if authorities used water to extinguish a fire at your home). Skipping moisture removal puts your home at risk for invasive mold and rot that can cause added property damage and health issues. Once you have the bulk of the water out, you’ll need to run blower fans for 24 to 72 hours to remove moisture.

Burning a single palm tree stump, if you’re careful, is technically doable DIY. However, you should always take precautions to control the fire and do research if you’re burning multiple types of trees.

Some trees, such as ornamental trees, black cherry, and some oak trees, release toxins into the air when burned that can be irritating to your lungs (or even dangerous) to breathe in.

Yes, most insurance plans cover acts of nature. In policy documents, this also may be called “Acts of God” or “natural disasters.” However, not all acts of nature are covered by your policy, and the extent to which they’re covered depends on your specific contract. Check your policy documents to understand your coverage limits and exclusions.

Hard materials like glass, metal, and hardwood floors, washable fabrics, and undamaged electrical appliances can often be salvaged after a fire, although it depends on the extent of the damage. For washable fabrics, make sure to use a phosphate mix during the washing process to extract the smoke smell. There are a few things you should throw away after a fire, like canned foods and cosmetics, even if they don’t look like they’re damaged.

Pricing a fire-damaged house is tricky, and it’s best to involve some professionals. First, get a comprehensive repair estimate from a fire damage restoration expert. Next, have a real estate agent get you an as-repaired value for the home, which represents what the house would be worth if fully repaired. Subtract the repair estimate from the as-repaired value to get the as-is value.
