"Mr. Scott and his workers were skilled, respectful and timely. They completely gutted our old garden tub, soiled carpeting, made the old shower into a closet and replace a old moldy vanity. They rebuild a shower from scratch with beautiful tile, replaced the flooring with gorgeous laminate, painted the entire bathroom, and replaced the vanity...our the bathroom is updated and gorgeous...everything looks great! Mr. Scott and his workers came in did their job in a prompt and professional manner. No complaints only praises for his professionalism. His company represents the kind of work you want and expect from companies you hire."

"He gave me a call the very next day after inquiring through this site Saturday and on Sunday evening he came out and fixed the repairs. It was quick and easy, nice repairs, customer service, and he only could do cash a transaction which was a little in convenience but not to much trouble."

"This is the company that you want! Professional, on time, high-quality work. I hired them to fix the floor in my house that was damaged by the previous company. Do not use!, Georgia flooring and remodeling, Owned by Mr. Travis. Georgia flooring and remodeling is the opposite, shows up when they feel like it, uses underage teenage labor, uses ridiculous excuses, completely unsatisfactory,Damaged my floor Travis admitted to me that he does not know how to put down a professional finish, WTF"

"Rob was very professional. He came and gave us a very fair quote, met us at Lowe’s so we could pick out supplies. Started on time. He and his staff were friendly and I now how a beautiful shower and back splash both of which I LOVE. We are going to have him come back and replace our carpet with hard surface flooring. We are looking forward to working with him again."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Tile shouldn’t be set tight against the tub. Bathtubs can expand when filled, and they can shift slightly with the weight of occupants. For this reason, it’s important to leave a slight gap between the bathtub and the first row of tile. Aim for a narrow gap of approximately 1/16 of an inch, filled with caulk, to allow for this expansion and movement while still allowing for tile shower waterproofing.

Tiling can be DIY with the right tools and skills, but challenges like ensuring evenness and appropriate adhesion often warrant professional handling.

Altering the layout of your bathroom will make a big difference as moving or adding plumbing quickly inflates your total bill. While you can recoup more of your cost (in home value terms) by adding a bathroom, rearranging the layout won’t affect your home’s sticker value. However, strategic placements that allow more light or better flow may increase buyer interest.

If the hearth ends against a wall, you can use a tile cutter as you normally would. However, if the edge of your hearth ends with no surface pressing against it,you may want to look into rounded tiles. These give a smooth edge to your hearth and make sure cut edges aren’t visible. You can also see if the tile you have has pieces that have been glazed or rounded on one edge. You’d then cut the tile and place it normally, with the cut edge facing inward.

The difference between floor and wall tiles is that floor tiles generally have higher strength and porosity ratings than wall tiles. Wall tiles are typically weaker and more likely to crack or become damaged under sustained pressure like high foot traffic.

For this reason, avoid using wall tiles on floors and vice versa.
