"Claude arrived punctually for every part of the process.  He arrived 10 minutes early for the quote session, and asked the right questions to make sure he would give us the best quote.  He brush/roller paints everything by hand (no sprayers) and is very meticulous.  It took him about 1-1/2 days to do our entire living area/entry way/staircase and trim/moulding.  He was on time and cleaned up well each visit.  He is also a delightful person to deal with, is honest, fair on pricing, and won't try to pressure you into anything. He did an outstanding job, and all of our guests who have visited since his painting job have admired his work.  We plan to use Claude in the future on all our interior home painting projects.
The one thing that Claude does ask on exterior painting is that the customer should do any wood damage replacement themselves or ask another contractor to do that part.  He specializes in painting, and this was the reason we ultimately decided not to have him paint the exterior, as we were looking for an outfit who could do both wood work and painting on the exterior--less hassle for us.  I wouldn't really say that is a "down side" to Poli Paint, it is just something to consider if you're looking to have an exterior paint job done on an older home.  As I said, he hand paints everything on both interior and exterior--This is actually one thing I really liked about his proposal on the exterior even though it did not include wood work--He quoted us to hand paint with two coats all the siding, which would ensure a thicker, longer lasting coat of paint.  The painter we ended up selecting for the exterior, and all the other contractors who quoted us for exterior painting planned to paint the siding, gutters and soffits with a sprayer.

"My exterior home painting went swiftly but very efficiently. Hugo and his teammate George arrived on Monday morning promptly and ready to get to work. They began my project pressure washing the home exterior, the driveway and my small patio slab. Tow rotted boards, one at front near the roof and another at back near the rain gutter were removed and replaced with PVC boards and caulked (various other areas of the hardy plank siding were also re-caulked). All windows, security cameras and light fixtures were covered and taped for protection from spraying of the paint. The painting commenced on Tuesday, the next day and went quickly but was very efficient. The guys listened carefully to my description of results I wanted to achieve responded respectfully to each of my inquiries/requests. They were careful to avoid damage to my flower garden and flower planters. My project went rather quickly and was completed sooner that I expected, however, the final results are amazingly beautiful. My Craftsman style cottage home is now a shining star of the entire Cul de Sac."

"About a year and a half ago I hired a company to paint an entire two bedroom townhome.  Same thing - ceilings, walls, trim, patch, caulk.  The company kept trying to raise the estimate and in the end didn't finish the job.  There was paint spatter everywhere, the walls hadn't been prepared prior to painting to they finish was rough, and some rooms didn't get painted at all because I refused to continue paying more money.



My experience with Kimberly Painting was the complete opposite.  The estimate was given and the prices didn't change.  The painting crew came in as scheduled and painted efficiently and well.  Walls were perfectly patched and sanded.  And the best part of all was the clean up - there were some paint droplets that were missed but not many, and there was no drywall dust to be found.  I was cautious due to my previous experience with hiring painters, and I'm so glad that my worst fears weren't realized.  Imagine - a painting company that actually does what they say they will do!  Also, they accommodated the few (minor) corrections I requested with no fuss at all.







--- I am amending my review due to some quality issues that weren't initially apparent to me.



1. paint splatters on the top of my refrigerator - this definitely came from the new paint color



2. bathroom fixtures were not removed before painting so they were painted on.  this became a problem, for example, and the paint started to bubble and peel around my toilet paper roll, as it got stretched and pulled with use.  this happened for the towel rods, lights, and toilet paper rolls in two bathrooms.



3. electrical panel cover was painted on.  when the cover had to be removed for electrical work, paint around it peeled off



4. kitchen paint needed an extra coat.  You could see the difference between where the edges of the wall were painted and the actual wall (I'm guessing the edges were done with a brush and got an extra coat).







I spent the weekend replacing the bath hardware and touching up paint in the kitchen, bathroom, and around the electric panel."

It went very well.  Two people arrived to complete the job.  I chose one room for their four hour service a carpeted living room dining room, with stained knotty pine walls.  They worked as a team, one vacuuming, as another dusted.  They worked very well as a team.  I asked them to polish my walls as I used to do using Scot Liquid Gold. First applying the polish by dipping a Swiffer mop pad into to a paint rolling, then using another dry mop to remove the excess polish.  When completed the walls shined like new. 

They supplied all the cleaning materials and equipment except the pads and polish for the wall, as well as the polish for the other wood furniture, dining room table and chairs, end tables, leather sofa and chairs.

"First of all, the provider immediately advised me that the deal was not supposed to be in your website anymore. She mentioned that she had no idea how I got the deal in the first place, because they had removed it from Angie's List. It was clear we were not going to get the price for the Big Deal honored. She asked for us to send pictures of the house through email so she could give us the new pricing. Today we received a call and later an email with the new price to do the job. The new pricing was more than double the price of the Big Deal and I do not think that going over pictures is the right way to do an estimate on a final price for a project. There is no way I want to do business with this company."

"Joaquin and his team did an excellent job all around.  The quote was sent the same day as the appointment for the estimate, the team showed up on-time every day and Joaquin did an excellent job of keeping me informed of the progress.  The painters were very cooperative and did a great job addressing questions or areas of concern as the job progressed.  They cleaned up very well and the two and a half day transformation was really incredible to witness.  They invoiced exactly at the estimated cost.  I will certainly use Top Choice Painters again for my business as well as home painting requirements.
