Poli Paint

From start to finish, Poli Paint was a pleasure to deal with. I would have no hesitation recommending them to family and friends; if I needed any additional interior or exterior work, I would contact them. (They are licensed and insured) Claude and Ray are perfectionists who ensured the work was fantastic. Excellent painters who are also sincere and humble people.

Poli did a fantastic job.  The painters were professional and knowledgeable of their craft. They worked fast, but efficient.  I will be hiring Poli to for interior painting.

Everything went well after our initial coordination meeting. The provider's team arrived early each day and worked at least 8 hours each day. The provider's team was a joy to work with. They were friendly, professional and talkative.

I can sum up my experience with Poli Paint in one word: FLAWLESS. They are courteous, professional, and very gifted at painting. It has been a pleasure having Poli Paint work at our home. Can't wait to have them paint the exterior!!!!

Claude and Ray did a great job for us at a great price. They were able to schedule us at exactly the date we requested. They are friendly, flexible and professional.

They did a fantastic job in painting our bedrooms and family room. On time every day and thoroughly cleaned up. Would use them again in a minute. Save a ton of my time and the price was very fair for the amount of work and time required.

I cannot speak highly enough of Claude and his team!!  I bought a house, my first house which I?m very excited about, filled
with high walls and lots and lots of natural light flooding in the windows... one of the reasons why I fell in love with the house! However, the previous owner had gone around and 'paint patched' scuffs and spots on the walls, which stuck out like a sore thumb to me!  Either the finish of the paint didn't match, or the color... but with all that light flooding in... that?s all I could see. Bad paint patches everywhere!
I found Claude on Angies List, along with a few other painters, and asked him to come by to quote.  I was originally hoping that
I might be able to just do a better, more matched, patching job myself, and perhaps save the expense of painting the whole place.  But after talking with Claude, and doing my own patching experiments to realize that he was 100% right and I wouldn?t be
happy with attempting to repaint over patches? I decided to go ahead and just do the whole house.  And I couldn?t have
been happier with that decision!!
Firstly, out of all the Painters on Angies List I had called, Claude was the most reliable!  He ALWAYS returned my phone calls or text messages? and very promptly!  He was always on time, and when he quoted my house, it was a concise quote, broken down room by room, so that if I decided to do only certain rooms and not others, it was very easy for me to
re-calculate how it would change the cost.  There were no hidden fee?s, or taxes, or additional money owed for walls
over 10ft ? what he quoted is exactly what it cost.  Also, he was the best value for money from the other providers who had quoted.  Some were only quoting one layer of paint, or charging additional for patching /repairing small holes in the wall. Claude?s quote was inclusive of any small patching and included 2 layers of paint.
I often left Claude alone in my home to paint, and even asked him to lock up for me on a particular day as I wasn?t going to be
home for a couple days.  I had no hesitation whatsoever that they are honest, reliable contractors.
I?m so happy with my decision to repaint the whole house.  It looks so fresh and clean and there are no longer any blemishes on my walls. I have perfect walls! 

Claude arrived punctually for every part of the process.  He arrived 10 minutes early for the quote session, and asked the right questions to make sure he would give us the best quote.  He brush/roller paints everything by hand (no sprayers) and is very meticulous.  It took him about 1-1/2 days to do our entire living area/entry way/staircase and trim/moulding.  He was on time and cleaned up well each visit.  He is also a delightful person to deal with, is honest, fair on pricing, and won't try to pressure you into anything. He did an outstanding job, and all of our guests who have visited since his painting job have admired his work.  We plan to use Claude in the future on all our interior home painting projects.
The one thing that Claude does ask on exterior painting is that the customer should do any wood damage replacement themselves or ask another contractor to do that part.  He specializes in painting, and this was the reason we ultimately decided not to have him paint the exterior, as we were looking for an outfit who could do both wood work and painting on the exterior--less hassle for us.  I wouldn't really say that is a "down side" to Poli Paint, it is just something to consider if you're looking to have an exterior paint job done on an older home.  As I said, he hand paints everything on both interior and exterior--This is actually one thing I really liked about his proposal on the exterior even though it did not include wood work--He quoted us to hand paint with two coats all the siding, which would ensure a thicker, longer lasting coat of paint.  The painter we ended up selecting for the exterior, and all the other contractors who quoted us for exterior painting planned to paint the siding, gutters and soffits with a sprayer.

Prompt for our estimate meeting and in getting the estimate back to me on the same day. Communicated when he would be at the house via call or text. He was able to smooth out some very difficult walls left by a previous owner. Always put down painters cloths even thought he knew we were replacing the carpet. Cleaned and straighten the area after the days work. Very neat. He goes above and beyond

He is efficient, professsional, and very reasonably priced. He is a true European artisan and does everything by hand. I watched him do our neighbor's house with a brush and roller. He is brilliant. I would have him do the interior and I would be more than happy to go out and leave him with the house for weeks. He is very trustworthy, just a wonderful man.

Claude was very professional, punctual and respectful from beginning to end and I highly recommend him.
My home is 7 years old and the front of the home was beginning to deteriorate from sun damage, so I initially hired Claude to paint the front of the home with 2 coats of paint. It looked so good that I decided to have the rest of the home painted, but 2 coats seemed unnecessary on the part of the home not affected by the sun. So, to keep the cost lower, we agreed to use one coat of paint/stain wherever possible.
The house is very large with many windows and doors, complex elevations and cedar siding. Claude worked for approximately 3 weeks painting every nook and cranny to my complete satisfaction. He painted the trim, windows, doors and gutters, and stained the cedar shingles. All work was done by hand with brushes and rollers (no spraying). He even brushed the stain on the cedar siding where needed to ensure adequate absorption. He caulked everywhere it was needed. He came back after the job to take care of an area he missed and also made a minor drywall repair inside that I couldn't reach.
His prices are very straight forward on windows and doors with a per unit charge, half for one coat. Pricing of gutters, siding and trim is a bit more subjective, but seemed fair and in-line or slightly lower than what others were paying in my neighborhood. His willingness to go with one coat where needed cut the cost by half on those areas.
Where you will really score using Claude is the quality of his work. Painting is his only business and he takes a lot of pride in his work. He used no sub-contractors or other employees on my job and I highly recommend him.

Claude was very professional throughout the whole experience. He was on time, thorough, and detail oriented. My house is stucco with a very rough texture so it is not easy to paint. Plus it hadn't been painted in some time and the color was pretty faded so applying two coats of paint was a must. The quality of the painting Claude did was excellent. He told me that he was not through with the job until I was happy with his work; and he genuinely meant it. It was a pleasure doing business with Claude and I will use him again for other painting projects.

Got a few estimates on painting the exterior of our home. Found Claude on craigslist after not finding much to choose from in my area. Claude came out and gave me a great estimate, told me to check out his website to see work he has done and explained his philosophy on painting to me. He said, "Many people claim to be painters, but they do other types of work as well... I am only a painter and try to be better at painting than anyone else". Claude also paints by hand only... no spraying, which impressed me because you can get a much better job by hand in my opinion... and his. He also let's the homeowner choose the brand and type of paint which I like alot. He finished our 2 story home in 4 days including caulking, trim and shutters. The house looks awesome and we are very happy. He powerwashes the house free of charge with exterior paint jobs... can you beat that??? We will have Claude back to paint the complete interior of our home as well later this spring. If you need an awesome painter... call Claude!!!
