Customers say: True professional

"Brad was very professional. The very first time I spoke with him I knew he knew what he was doing and he appeared to be very honest. The quality of the work was excellent and he did the job in a timely manner. I do believe the price was very reasonable. Brad saw a minor problem and fixed it without adding additional charges. He knew that the problem was a hazard and it needed to be fixed. I have already made plans to hire him for another job in the near future. I would recommend Bullzeye Electric without hesitation. "Bryan called me within 30 minutes of a requested quote and gave me an instant price and next working day installation date/time for the work I requested. He arrived on the date/agreed time, scoped the work to be performed and began working. He continuously worked until the job was 100% complete. He installed electrical outlets in four (4) rooms of my unfinished basement and one (1) external decor light fixture next to my back door. After completion, Bryan labeled my electrical breakers and outlet covers to ensure perfect identification. He then, thoroughly explained the electrical installation process he performed and asked if I had any questions. Prior to Bryan leaving, he began cleaning up wire and wood debris but I insisted to clean up the debris myself. Bryan showed absolute professionalism and was very courteous throughout the entire project. He completed the work expeditiously and his price was very reasonable for the amount of work performed. I will request his services again and gladly recommend him to others."

"Top notch company - installed our new AC/Heating units two years ago. I was a bit pricey, but has performed flawlessly. Subsequent service calls have been reasonable and professional. Highly recommend."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

The color code for the common sprinkler wire is white, and then you can assign the remaining color codes to the rest of the wires for different sprinkler zones. For example, you could use red for the first zone, then blue for the second, and so on.

Color-coding helps you keep track of which wires go to specific zones so that you or a pro can address any issues or repairs quickly. Check your local electrical code for any requirements regarding sprinkler wire colors.

Yes, standard dimmer switches should never be used to control a ceiling fan motor. They’re designed for lighting, not motors, and they can cause humming, overheating, or permanent damage. You should only use switches that are specifically labeled for fan speed control.

A GFCI outlet is a type of electrical outlet that monitors the electricity flowing through the circuit and shuts off power immediately when it detects a loss or acceleration of current. They are particularly important in areas that may come in contact with water, which is why they're most common in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and garages.

The Occupational Safety and Home Administration (OSHA) requires an electrical panel to have a minimum of three feet (36 inches) of room from the front of the panel to the closest obstacle. In this case, the word obstacle refers to nearly everything, including walls, machines, and other fixed objects. Additionally, panels require at least 6½ feet of headroom in the area directly in front of the fixture. These requirements help ensure safe use of the panel and allow electricians plenty of room to work.

While not always necessary, wiring your circuit breaker in a certain way can ease both the installation process and use afterward. For starters, you’ll need to install the electrical panel so that the main service knockout aligns with the cable conduit. If they aren’t aligned, you may not have sufficient working space to finish running the wires. Using cable trays, on the other hand, gives you a bit more freedom to and flexibility in where and which direction you install the wires. At the end of the day, the power flow will be the same whether the cords run up or down.
