Customers say: True professional

"Brad was very professional. The very first time I spoke with him I knew he knew what he was doing and he appeared to be very honest. The quality of the work was excellent and he did the job in a timely manner. I do believe the price was very reasonable. Brad saw a minor problem and fixed it without adding additional charges. He knew that the problem was a hazard and it needed to be fixed. I have already made plans to hire him for another job in the near future. I would recommend Bullzeye Electric without hesitation. "Keep Smiling sent me Roy Wint and I'm very glad they did. Roy installed a replacement ceiling fan as well as four recessed lights. The result of the project is a much better lit and livable living room. I want to extend special kudos to Roy. He was very professional, polite, and friendly. A joy to have working on my home. He went out of his way to avoid creating any holes in the ceiling other than those housing the lighting fixtures. And he also did a safety inspection of my home's fuse box. I can't say enough good about this young man. I'll definitely be calling him the next time I need electrical work done in my home."

"Bryan called me within 30 minutes of a requested quote and gave me an instant price and next working day installation date/time for the work I requested. He arrived on the date/agreed time, scoped the work to be performed and began working. He continuously worked until the job was 100% complete. He installed electrical outlets in four (4) rooms of my unfinished basement and one (1) external decor light fixture next to my back door. After completion, Bryan labeled my electrical breakers and outlet covers to ensure perfect identification. He then, thoroughly explained the electrical installation process he performed and asked if I had any questions. Prior to Bryan leaving, he began cleaning up wire and wood debris but I insisted to clean up the debris myself. Bryan showed absolute professionalism and was very courteous throughout the entire project. He completed the work expeditiously and his price was very reasonable for the amount of work performed. I will request his services again and gladly recommend him to others."

"Top notch company - installed our new AC/Heating units two years ago. I was a bit pricey, but has performed flawlessly. Subsequent service calls have been reasonable and professional. Highly recommend."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Yes, gas dryers still need electricity. While their heating system relies solely on natural gas to produce the heat that dries your clothes, gas dryers use electricity to power the lights and display screens on their interface, turn on the drum, and power any automatic moisture sensors inside the unit.

Yes, hot tubs can use a significant amount of electricity, primarily to keep the water heated. A typical hot tub uses between 1,500 and 6,000 watts, and the pump can add another 1,500 watts. This usage can result in a monthly cost of around $20 to $30. The exact amount of electricity consumed depends on several factors, including the hot tub's age, size, heater voltage (120V vs. 240V), usage habits, and thermostat setting. Newer, energy-efficient models generally use less power than older ones. To reduce electricity costs, consider investing in an energy-efficient model, using a quality insulated cover with a thermal blanket, and keeping the filters clean.

Yes, you can connect two extra outlets (or more) to one outlet if the total load on the circuit allows for it. If you have a 15-amp circuit, electrical code allows up to eight outlets or light switches. But if you’re dealing with outlets in the kitchen and bathroom, you may not be able to have as many. Kitchen and bathroom appliances often need higher amperage. You can also change a single outlet to a double outlet by cutting a larger hole in the drywall and replacing the outlet with a quad receptacle.

Yes, you can convert a gas water heater to an electric one, but it is a complex process. You will need to ensure there is adequate power for the new electric unit, as they require more power than gas models. The project also involves safely closing off the gas lines and ventilation, and some cities may require a permit for the conversion. The cost can range from $1,500 to $4,100, depending on the installation scope, plumbing and electrical work, and the water heater model. For an accurate quote, it's best to contact a local professional. Also, be aware that your monthly utility bills may increase after the conversion, as natural gas is typically cheaper than electricity.

Smart meters send the readings over a wireless wide area network (WAN) to the power company. This network allows sending small amounts of data slowly over long distances, which is perfect for smart meter readings that occur monthly. If you would prefer a smart meter, contact your power company and consider springing for the cost of replacing your electric meter.
