Tim Hibler Tile has been serving the Atlanta area since 2000. We are highly trained in the installation of porcelain, glass, ceramic, and all natural stone tiles. All work is performed or supervised by the owner, Tim Hibler. We are also affiliated with other companies, such as plumbers, electricians, and cabinet makers. This allows us to completely renovate your bathroom, without the high mark-ups of a contractor. Please contact us for your next bathroom makeover. Available by phone or e-mail. We look forward to working with you!

"Tim was terrific not only with his skilled tile work but also talking through the planning and giving input on features (niches, corner pieces) that have made the shower great. He also paired up well with the plumber anticipating drain specs and shower considerations. Highly recommend him and am happy to use him again for updates in the future."

Prime Hardwood Floors LLC is a well respected wood flooring company. Since 2000, we have been specializing in residential and commercial wood flooring installation, sanding, and refinishing. In 2006 we opened a showroom in Dunwoody, GA, that allows us to also sell the hardwoods we are installing, giving our customers all the options related to wood flooring-laminated floors, engineered, solid prefinished or the traditional sand & finish. We also re-sand existing wood floors giving customers the option to change floor color and shine or we can just 'screen' floors and recoat for a fresh new look. Although we specialize in wood flooring, over time we have started offering services related to our main trade-stairs installation and/or refinishing, handrails installation and/or refinishing, wrought iron spindles sales and installation and tile installation in order to help our customers deal with only one contractor. Please contact us today for your wood flooring needs.

"I was very satisfied with work. The workers were cordial and professional."

The Painters YOU can TRUST! We are a full service painting company specializing in home improvements for residential homeowners and commercial businesses. We offer services such as Interior Painting, Exterior Painting, Stipple Ceiling Removal, Popcorn Ceiling Removal, Flooring, and Gutter Installation. The Atlanta Painting Company proudly serves the greater metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia area including: Buckhead, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Alpharetta, Marietta, Johns Creek, Norcross, Suwanee, Duluth, Woodstock, Peachtree Corners and everywhere in between. We also have an office located in Peachtree City to better service our customers on the southside of The Metro Atlanta area. We have a project minimum of $1500, and Free Color Consultations have a project minimum of $2000. Additional e-mail: [email protected].

"In all fairness, I cannot recommend this company as our experience with them was horrendous and we still have unresolved issues that we do not have the wherewithal to continue to fight the company to rectify. We hired The Painting Company to paint the exterior of our rather large 1.5 story home, which included applying two coats of paint on the body and trim, repainting wrought iron railings, gates, and an exterior wrought iron spiral staircase. We were under the assumption that the painters were employed by The Painting Company and under the supervision of the Project Manager assigned to our job. We later discovered that the painters are subcontractors and the project manager is not on site nor comes to the site to check the work. The first "professional crew" sent to our home consisted of a supposedly experienced painter, a middle-aged woman, and a teenaged boy, neither of whom had painting experience. The painter began to spray paint our home before doing any of the prep work, which would have included replacing wood, sanding, caulking and extensive sanding and prepping of the iron staircase, and properly covering the glass windows, doors and brick patio and plants. When I questioned the painter, he brushed off my concerns, including my concerns about the paint he was getting on my new light fixtures, windows and brick patio. Concerned about the quality of the work and the two unqualified "painters," I asked the painter to stop working and called the Company. The project manager came out and told me that this was a new "crew" and he was unaware that the woman and teenager would be there. He promised that a new crew would arrive the next morning. However, a new crew did not come until 2 days later, and as we were having out of town company and a party over July 4th, the delay meant that the house would be in a state of disarray. The new crew was much more professional, however, they also continued painting prior to doing the sanding and prep work on the wood, the iron railings, and staircase, which meant that sawdust, black iron dust, and iron chips were now all over the new paint. They also told me that they would not paint the removable window grids as that was "inside painting" and there was an extra charge. They also only painted one side of the shutters so the old color was evident between the slats. I was at work when the painters finished the job and that evening, I got a phone call from The Painting Company asking for payment. I told them that I wasn't even aware that the work was finished and that I expected the Project Manager to walk the job with me so we could go over the quality of the work and do a punch list, and also, that I would receive an itemized bill, especially as the amount they asked me for was higher than the amount I believed I owed. And when the bill did arrive, I discovered that they failed to credit me for the second deposit I made, which was why there was a $2400 discrepancy between the verbal amount they asked for and the amount my records showed. Then, the Project Manager did not show up for the walk-through, only one of the painters. As I pointed out areas that needed attention, I got pushback. The painter objected to removing the paint splatters and overspray from the windows, French doors, brick patio, walkways, rubber, thresholds, and light fixtures as he claimed the other painter did it, not them. He did agree to "wipe down" the numerous (too numerous) areas that had sawdust, black iron dust and iron chips embedded in them and do touch-up upon areas they missed. There were also dents in the gutters from the placement of the ladders without cushioning behind them, which he also blamed on the previous painter. As the painter and I could not come to an agreement, I demanded that the Project Manager show up. He finally did, and I went over the punch list with him and he promised that all of the items would be done, including a semi-power wash of the brick patio to remove the overspray and paint splatters. Prior to the punch-llst being completed, I received numerous emails and calls asking for payment, which I found totally obnoxious as the work had not been completed and they were giving me pushback on completing it. As I had to be at my office, I left the oversight of the work to the Project Manager, trusting that he understood my dissatisfaction, and would make sure the work was done correctly. Later that afternoon, I received a call informing me that the work had been done and again asking for payment. I complied and paid in full. I then inspected the work when I returned home and discovered that there are still many areas that were not done. I still have dented gutters, there is a coating of white overspray paint on all of my windows and doors, and I have black iron dust and iron chips embedded in the new paint, along with paint splatters everywhere. I'm also worn out and no longer have the stamina to continue to fight with The Painting Company."

Our goals are to provide the best possible flooring options for your needs, to keep the process as painless as possible, with your health and convenience a top priority. "Awesome company! I cannot say enough good things about Glen and Apalachee Floors. I had storm/water damage to my hardwood floors, and Apalachee was recommended to me. Glen came out just as scheduled, calmed my fears about the floor, and encouraged me to let the floors dry out before having any work done. He could easily have gouged me for unnecessary work. He reached back out to me 30 days later, came back to reassess, and everything looks good. And he didn't charge me a thing. I so appreciated dealing with a company with such obvious integrity."

2 brothers, Eddie and Robert, and a hardwood flooring business. We take pride in our job. We have not met a customer that had higher expectations about their hardwoods than us. We always try to reach perfection. We backed up our experience with theoretical knowledge as well. It makes a big difference out there. And by doing the job ourselves, we are able to compete with the lowest prices and give one of the highest qualities. Fully Licensed & Insured

"Phenomenal work! Embodiment of old-world craftsmanship and attention to detail, these guys truly take pride in their work and care about their customers! FAQs for flooring projects in Atlanta, GA

The cost of flooring installation is $3,000 for the average homeowner. This cost can range from $1,500 to $4,500, depending on the project size, flooring material, and any special features. For example, if stairs need new flooring, you can expect to pay about $11 to $160 per step. Additionally, hardwood flooring costs significantly more than linoleum, with hardwood ranging from $6 to $22 per square foot and linoleum costing $3 to $7 per square foot.

Believe it or not, adding new flooring—especially floors like hardwood, laminate, tile, or vinyl—can add significant value to your home. If you update your flooring close to when you sell your home, you can see up to a 70% ROI on your new floors. Adding new flooring to your home is one of the quickest ways to make the whole room look refreshed and new, which is a positive point for selling.

While you certainly can install new flooring yourself, it may not always be the best idea. Since the condition of the floors is a significant component of your property’s value, it’s important that your project looks professionally done. If not, you run the risk of needing to have them replaced again before selling your home. If you’re looking to save money on the cost of floor installation, consider removing the old flooring yourself to save on labor costs.

When it comes to flooring installers, licensing laws vary from state to state. Even if your state doesn’t require your flooring installer to have a license, your municipality or city might, so it’s a good idea to check with your town before getting started. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local general contractor guidelines.

Hiring an unlicensed flooring installer could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

It takes about one to three days for a two-person crew to lay 800 to 1,000 square feet of flooring daily. Remember that removal of existing flooring and additional prep work is considered during this time, and it’s likely that you won’t be able to pass through the room easily. In addition, you can expect lots of hammering and other noise from power tools during installation, so it’s best to plan accordingly.
