"AFMS's tagine should be, "There ain't no traffic jam on the Extra Mile"... This company went the extra mile and did so with a smile in spite of challenges encountered during the installation of the backyard privacy fence. Lots of granite rock to dig through and engineering a solid, beautiful gate while working with existing chain link and 60 yr old concrete. The crew was very professional and respectful, nice hardworking young men. The fence is beautiful and they made sure all work materials and debris were fully removed. It was a pleasure working with Adam and I will be hiring again for installing a ranch fence for front yard. Adam takes pride in his craft and delivers a professional business plan."

"How did it go? Owner Tracy is amazingly professional, entirely reliable, and uber knowledgeable. This interchange exemplified her own deep Contracting background, as she requires the highest level of quality in the work. Thus, her contractor was not only dependable and effective, but went ‘above & beyond’, as I was unable to be onsite. Being a RE Investor for over 40 years, I’ve hired countless contractors, so having such a reliable, professional service is quite welcome while essential, yet almost impossible to engage, no less trust these days! Therefore, I certainly plan to deploy HappyHandyman in the future, plus highly recommend to my RE Investor Community. Putting my own Professional reputation on the line to make such recommendations I take entirely seriously! Just wish I could ‘clone’ them for my venues in other states!"

"The job went very well. Todd responded quickly and scheduled the job. Technicians Andrew and Eric did a great job replacing the pipes, fastening them, replacing the valves, etc. They were very dedicated and worked through day and night in the cramped crawl space. They are also very personable and nice to work with. Very happy with the job and the staff."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

How long a pool liner lasts depends on the type of pool. Most in-ground pool liners last between six and 12 years, while aboveground pool liners last anywhere from six to 10 years. You can extend the life of your pool liner by maintaining proper pool chemistry, adding chemicals individually to avoid staining the liner, using a pool cover to protect it from the sun, and keeping sharp objects away from it.

At noon, when the sun is at its highest point, sunlight can naturally increase the temperature of a pool by 0.7 degrees each hour, but this can depend on other external factors. For example, evaporation caused by the sun will cause a pool to lose up to 5 degrees for every 1/2 inch of water evaporated. Using a water heater will produce more reliable results.

Building an inground pool is a job best left to the pros. Excavating the area and building the pool requires heavy equipment and specialized training, and pools have complex plumbing and electrical systems. Unless you’re experienced in these areas, you’re better off hiring a pool contractor to make sure the job gets done safely and correctly.

Pool lights are designed to be safe by protecting swimmers from electrocution. These lights are made with waterproof fixtures and seals to prevent contact with the water.

Electrocution from pool lights is still possible, but rare. Faulty wiring or broken lighting equipment can make lights unsafe, so it’s important to replace lights as needed and have an electrician inspect and upgrade the wiring.

Coping is the material that lines the perimeter of a pool and seals the transition between the top of the pool wall and the water. Decking surrounds the poolscape and extends far beyond the water's edge to provide a safe walking and lounging area. In short, coping is the border between the decking and the pool itself.
