"Stop perusing contractors and just contact Adam immediately – he’s the one you want to build your fence or deck. We hired Adam to construct a privacy fence, and we’re absolutely thrilled with the final result. Adam was personable and easy going yet professional, and his crew was friendly and polite. He produced top-notch work, and he did so for the price he’d originally quoted -- there were no “gotcha” price increases that are unfortunately common among contractors. Most impressively, Adam and his crew finished the work on time, despite poor weather and issues with a supplier. He also took the challenges our slightly strange property presented in stride. We cannot recommend Adam Free Multi-Services enough, and we’ve already had initial discussions with him about other projects."

"Carl found and repaired the leaks which were staining the downstairs ceiling. On our second call was for the outside faucet, he had to fabricate the part since it was no longer available for sale anywhere. We are grateful for his ingenuity, skill and care. Thanks to both Carl and Todd."

"James Altman with Altman Handyman Services is a real professional. He has completed severals jobs for me: shed renovation and deck stairs and post replacement. He was very courteous and a good listener when I was explaining what needed to be done. He completed all jobs in a timely manner, was very thorough and always showed up at the times he said he would. "About 6 years ago, we had a new stand up shower installed thru Hullco. Well apparently the silicone was not water proof. So I ended up with Mold behind the caulk. So I hired Zach to come in and remove all caulk and clean up the Mold, and then reapply the proper caulk. Zach did an Amazing job. And if everything works out right, I am going to hire him to do a complete upgrade on that bathroom. Thank you Zach"

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

It can take anywhere from 12 to 24 hours to fill the average pool with water—and that’s if you use a couple of garden hoses. A water delivery service can fill your pool in one to three hours. Some services even pre-treat the water so it’s swim-ready as soon as it’s filled.

Your aboveground pool might technically be able to stand without water, but you shouldn't consider it stable. Aboveground pools need the weight of water to provide adequate stability and prevent the walls from collapsing in. Be sure to fill your pool with water as soon as possible after installation.

The only pools that don’t need grounding are those without electrical components, such as small inflatable pools. Any outlet around a pool should be a GFCI to cut the current if the outlet gets too wet. At the very least, the pool’s electrical should be plugged into a GFCI outlet, if not a dedicated GFCI breaker. Check local guidelines and requirements to ensure you’re following all safety regulations.

Any number between 7.2 and 7.8 is an ideal pH for swimming pools or 80 to 120 ppm. Your pool testing kit should be able to measure both of these numbers. If your pool’s pH is below this range, the water is too acidic and can cause scaling and damage to pool equipment. If the water’s pH is above this range, it can decrease the effectiveness of necessary chemicals, like chlorine.

Filter balls don’t work as well as sand filters because they’re unable to handle large debris, are prone to clogging, and require frequent cleaning. While they can seem more convenient and less expensive than sand filters, most need to be removed and washed regularly, or they won’t filter well and struggle with algae and dirt. Speak with your pool maintenance pro about the best filtration option for your pool.
