I personally have worked with many different materials installing business signs for major store brands and small businesses. I have also managed all repair for 6 rental properties in the past. \n\nWith my uncle being in Brooksville and myself in Dunnellon, we have a wide range of area we are willing to travel. "On August 18, we met with Casey Dollar and he agreed to do the job. He ordered the fence gate opener from ghost controls for $1168 which I paid for with my credit card. It was shipped to Hank’s house the next day he said he would be here that Saturday the 23rd to install it. Well he never showed didn’t hear a word from him but he came the next Monday on the 25th and did install it but it didn’t work right the right side of the gate would not open all the way at lack 2 1/2 to 3 feet of opening all the way he said he would be back the following Saturday to fix it. Well, he was a no-show again so Sunday night I texted him. I said we didn’t see you yesterday. How come when are you coming so he said I will try to fit it in sometime this next week. Sorry I had a lot going on yesterday. Well, he could’ve let us know something and that was last Sunday. This is Thursday afternoon and we have heard nothing from him so we don’t know what’s going on again he’s not very reliable and we are not happy with the installation. We want it fixed, right"

Driveway Gates questions, answered by experts

While entryways are seldom added to a house to increase the sale price, they are commonly constructed to increase the livability and enjoyment of a home. So, while they aren’t necessary, they do make for a more comfortable and luxurious-feeling home. Entryways are most valuable in areas of extreme heat, cold, or rain, as the space between the living area and the outdoors helps keep the outdoors outside. Plus, snow, wet boots, and mud are all corralled into one space that’s easy to clean.

Each has its use, depending on the scenario. Security doors are primarily intended to keep people out of the home, while storm doors are used to protect the home from extreme weather. Both tend to be made from heavy-duty metal and may include glass panels to allow light to enter the home. Storm doors can feature mesh screens, just like screen doors, to allow for increased ventilation and to keep out pests. Security doors rarely, if ever, have mesh screens.

Yes, most services include safety checks and anchoring to ensure stability. Confirm with your provider.

Generally, the standard 10- to 12-inch-long and 1- to 1.5-inch-diameter gate springs will work. However, if you have an especially wide, thick, or heavy garden gate, you may need to opt for a longer, broader—and pricier—model to ensure secure closure and good longevity. These typically range between 12 and 16 inches long and are over 1.5 inches in diameter.

Yes, most electric and automatic gates can be opened manually. They are equipped with a manual override or release mechanism that detaches the motor from the gate, allowing it to be moved by hand. This feature is essential during power outages or other emergencies.

To activate the manual override, you will typically need a specific key or tool. In some cases, you may also need a screwdriver to remove a cover to access the release mechanism. The use of a key is a common security measure to prevent unauthorized individuals from manually opening the gate.

Because every model is different, it is highly recommended to consult your gate's user manual to familiarize yourself with the specific procedure before you need to use it. Keep any necessary keys or tools in an accessible location. Be aware that automatic gates can be very heavy, so opening and closing them manually may be difficult.

In North America, electric gates are also subject to the UL 325 Standard for Safety, which includes provisions to allow emergency responders to access the property.
