"I had the pleasure of working with Salto Angel Insulation for an attic insulation installation, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the results! From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, the experience was seamless and professional. The team arrived on time and was incredibly respectful of my home. They took the time to explain the insulation options available, discussing the benefits of each type and helping me choose the best fit for my needs. Their knowledge and expertise were evident, making me feel confident in my decision. During the installation, the crew worked efficiently and carefully, ensuring that every corner of my attic was properly insulated. They were meticulous in their approach, taking care to clean up after themselves and leaving the space in pristine condition. It was evident that they take great pride in their work. Not only has the insulation made a noticeable difference in regulating the temperature in my home, but I also expect to see significant savings on my energy bills moving forward. It’s a relief to know that I’ve made an investment that will pay off in the long run. Overall, I highly recommend Salto Angel Insulation for attic insulation installation. "From the initial estimate, to project completion, Koala Insulation kept in constant communication with us, were timely and professional and most importantly- installed an excellent system. Weâ ve already noticed, within the first few days, that our ACâ s are working much less intensively throughout the day and the house does not feel as hot as it has been. Javier, Paul, Monica, Andy and Sebastian are experts at their craft and I would highly recommend them."

"First and foremost, I would like to thank Ian and his partner for their outstanding professionalism. This was some of the best service I've received in a long time. They arrived early, completed the job efficiently, and cleaned up thoroughly afterward. Thank you both for a job well done! I could immediately feel the difference. The house is already nice and cool."

"I had an amazing experience with this spray foam insulation company. From the first phone call, they were upfront, honest, and very knowledgeable. The crew showed up exactly when they said they would and walked me through the whole process before starting. They insulated my attic and part of my garage, and the difference was noticeable the same day ? the rooms stay cooler, and the AC doesn?t run nearly as much"

"Hired A Kool to replace my AC ducts. I received 3 quotes from different companies Company 1 - Good price but told me he couldn?t work from the attic due to lack of space so he suggested I cut holes in the ceiling so he could work from inside Company 2 - Quote 21K ? A Kool - Price was right and I did not have to cut any holes in the ceiling as they did all work from the attic. Crew was very professional, and very thorough in their work. Salesman Promised the job would be done in a day and job was done in a day. Crew showed up at 7am and didn?t leave until the job was done (8:00 pm) Will Hire them to blow insulation in the attic as they found that the attic was not properly insulated. Excellent experience."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Yes, even though frost-free and freeze-proof faucets are designed to withstand winter weather, it is still recommended to cover them with an insulated cap, especially during periods of extreme cold. These faucets work by keeping excess water inside the home's heated space and using a downward slope to drain, but this protection can be compromised. For the faucet to work correctly, you must always disconnect any attached hoses before temperatures drop below freezing, as a hose can trap water and lead to freezing. Ultimately, covering all outdoor faucets, even freeze-proof models, is the best way to prevent frozen and burst pipes.

Single-pane windows might let in the cold, but if you’re not ready for a long-term solution or window replacement, there are quick fixes to keep your space warmer. Start by sealing gaps with weatherstripping or caulking around the frame to block drafts. For an extra barrier, apply window insulation film to the glass, trapping an air pocket between the film and the window. Thick curtains or thermal drapes can also help keep the chill at bay. And if you’re in a pinch and looking to get creative, bubble wrap can provide a surprisingly effective layer of insulation—just spritz the window with water and press it on, bubble side in.

Don’t install insulation near water heaters, oil burners, or any other object that gets hot. Many insulation materials are fire-resistant, but not entirely fire-proof, so you should take precautions to keep hot things away from fiberglass. This is also why it is imperative to box off lighting fixtures and breaker boxes.

Mold can grow on garage ceiling insulation, which is why it’s important to install a vapor barrier behind the insulation and keep the space cooled and heated as you would your living area. Doing so will more or less eliminate the risk of mold growing on your garage ceiling insulation. You can also install a self-draining dehumidifier to help remove moisture, or opt for a foam board insulation or spray foam insulation that won’t harbor moisture and mold.

Faux wood garage doors provide the best insulation for garages. This style is commonly insulated with polyurethane foam—a thermal conductor—that retains heat and keeps you and the inside of your garage warm.
