"Very well built fence using quality materials. I was looking for a sturdy wood fence replacement and the new fence is much stronger than the original ever was. New fence has 4 foot spacing for the the 4x4 post, a 6x6 post to anchor the gate, and the pickets are secured individually (not pre-built). If you are looking for a wood fence that is going to last, this is very good deal for the money."

"My fence looks great, he was able to complete the job in 1 day. Great communication I was included in all the decision making and he provided some great insight and advice on what would work best. Overall his work ethic was phenomenal. My hubby and I are also planning to have him power wash and stain the fence too at a later time."

"We used Budget Fence to install our white PVC fence in 2022, since then if we had questions or needed a repair (lawn guy issue and roof company issue) there was no lag time at all for a response or to get the repair job completed asap, Johnny was always our contact and helped with anything we needed. In this day and age, to find such reliable contractors is a myth- until I met Budget Fence! Amazing - thank you so much!"

"John Ruales is a pro. Gave me a competitive quote, pulled my permit and built a quality fence. Had a minor problem with the inspection which he fixed that very day. Would highly recommend and I am a contractor for a living."

"I called South Florida fencing after Hurricane Irma, they were getting a ton of calls as you can well imagine. They had somebody come out 2 weeks after the hurricane to give me a price for the fence. They were comparable to the three quotes that I received and I went with them even though they were the middle quote because of their professionalism. The fence was installed in a timely manner and all the work was done two specification. In fact our gate wouldn't stay shut and we called the next day and the owner called back immediately."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

A silt fence should be buried in a trench that is 6 to 12 inches deep. A depth of at least 6 to 8 inches is necessary to prevent water and sediment from running underneath the fence. A deeper trench, up to 12 inches, provides better anchoring during wet and windy weather. To ensure proper installation, look for a red line on the silt fence fabric, which often indicates the correct burial depth. Always adhere to local guidelines and regulations; a professional contractor will be familiar with these requirements.

Most people prefer to keep the fence level by “stepping” the fence when running a horizontal fence over a slope. Stepping involves raising each panel between the posts as the fence moves over changes in slope, giving the fence line the appearance of stair steps. While this may be the preferred method of running a horizontal fence up a slope, there’s nothing wrong with installing your fence so it follows the undulations in the ground instead.

Both nails and screws are common in fence construction, including on pickets. Some builders prefer to use nails when connecting the pickets to the rails and screws when connecting the rails to the posts. However, the best option usually depends on the type of wood fencing and the variety of wood you choose.

As with any project or material, installing wrought iron fencing has advantages and disadvantages. Some pros and cons of this fence material include:

Pros

  • Long lifespan with proper maintenance

  • Very durable

  • Aesthetically pleasing

  • Functional as well as decorative

Cons

  • Requires regular maintenance and cleaning

  • Expensive compared to other fence materials

  • Limited privacy

If you come face-to-face with a wolf in your yard, chances are it will be afraid of you as a human. Make eye contact and get big—waving your arms to increase your size. Use noisemakers or air horns if you have them, or throw a few rocks around to discourage them from approaching you. If all else fails and the wolf does not retreat, back away slowly while maintaining eye contact and find safe ground, whether indoors or up a tree.
