"Pipedex sent an estimator to my home within 2 hours of my call. Estimate was very reasonable and they started working two days later. Sergeo was an excellent plumber, everything was cleaned up and he even tested the pool shower, ensuring everything was working. Highly Recommend Pipedex !!! Larry D. Barker, Colonel US Army (ret)"

"Reliable, neat and polite. Revived my 31-year-old bathrooms so they look better than brand new. Helped me stay within budget by suggesting alternatives. Recognized problems and addressed them (such as the need to rebuild my old toilets and correct seepage in my shower floor). And overall good experience and very happy with the results."

"Top Notch Remodelers did an amazing job with our bathroom. Jason gave us recommendations and viable options for the design of our bathroom. They completed the job within the time they promised. The installers for the tiles, shower, the glass doors did an awesome job. We had a leakage in our ceiling due to the water seeping from the bathroom shower, Jason recommended the right plumber as well a good person to get the dry wall job done. If we ever had to do a bathroom job again we would definitely go with Jason."

"I wanted a small update / remodel of my kitchen , new sink, faucet, garbage disposal and dishwasher .The dishwasher needed electrical and all new plumbing. I called Richards and immediately spoke to Renee. Renee told me they could meet all my need and they proceeded to help and guide me on what I needed regarding the garbage disposal. She told me to make sure I measured correctly . As I shopped for these items I touched base with her several times to make sure I had the right things like a faucet that would fit the sink and the holes that came with it. Renee was invaluable, always patient and very knowledgeable. She certainly made my comfort level literally a lot more â comfortableâ . She told me the costs up front and about how long the job would take considering new electric and some new plumbing would need to be run. On my big day Michael the plumber and Caden and Charlie the electricians arrived on time. They all got right to work. When the project was finished the new wall socket matched my others and during this project install the grout around my counters was broken and Michael regrouped all around the counter top , looked better than the original. All the lctrical line and the new place in the electric panel looked very nice. Michael also â educatedâ me for which I was grateful like since I am a snowbird put a little olive oil in the disposal when I leave to cut down on possible rust. He showed me the disposal warranty told me it was free and crawled underneath the sink to take a picture of the numbers so I could do the free registration for the warranty. When they all finished they brought in their shop vac and proceeded to sweep up their mess. These three men were professional, knowledgeable ,showed great respect for myself and my home. I asked Caden to look over my electrical panel to make sure it was all up to â snuffâ which he said. This whole project started with Renee and the comfort I felt in talking to her, she was never hurried always answered all my questions and was so knowledgeable. She just plain understood what I was trying to do when I told her everything I wanted was just plumbing and electrical. My job is wonderful I walk around my new kitchen and just canâ t stop smiling. Richard you have quite a staff and I would recommend them to anyone that wants a top notch job done at a fair price. These men charge by the hour and not one minute was spent not being productive and with this pandemic they were all masked. Thank you Renee, Michael, Caden and Charlie."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Venice's humid subtropical climate, frequent storms, and high water table can affect plumbing systems. The Florida Building Code requires storm-resistant installations and secure anchoring for outdoor fixtures due to hurricane risk. Sandy soil in Venice can cause shifting, so using flexible piping and proper bedding is essential. Consulting a local plumber ensures your system is designed to withstand Venice's unique weather and soil conditions.

Helpful?

In Venice, most plumbing work—including water heater installations, pipe replacements, and major remodels—requires permits issued by the City of Venice Building Department. Florida Building Code mandates inspections at both rough-in and final stages. Licensed plumbers are familiar with these local requirements and will coordinate permit applications and inspections, ensuring all plumbing work in Venice is compliant and passes city inspection standards.

Helpful?

In Venice, a frequent mistake is starting plumbing work without obtaining proper permits from the City of Venice Building Department. Using materials not suited for the coastal climate, such as unprotected metal pipes, can lead to rapid corrosion. Neglecting hurricane preparation or combining plumbing and electrical work without licensed professionals is not only unsafe but also violates Florida Building Code and local ordinances. Always consult qualified experts for each task.

Helpful?

In Venice, homeowners often encounter unexpected costs such as permit fees required by the City of Venice Building Department, mandatory code upgrades, and additional labor for accessing pipes in older homes. Addressing water damage from humidity or matching existing fixtures can also increase project scope. Working with a licensed local plumber helps anticipate these issues and ensures compliance with Venice's specific plumbing regulations.

Helpful?

For plumbing projects in Venice, PEX is highly recommended due to its flexibility and resistance to corrosion from salt air and hard water, which are common in this area. CPVC is ideal for hot water lines, while PVC is best for drains. Copper can be used if properly insulated. The City of Venice Building Department advises against galvanized steel, as it deteriorates quickly in Venice's humid, coastal environment.
