"MNC was by far the best price I received from all the Home Advisor quotes. The were quick to respond with a estimate. Showed up on time and spent as long as was needed to complete the job thoroughly. The roof had a thick black mildew on it and they cleaned every tile to make sure it was cleaned. See the before and after picture. Plus they are Christian men and were sweet enough to encourage my 14 year old that was outside playing basketball. Genuinely impressed!!"

"CYMBAL RESPONDED TO MY REQUEST FOR SERVICES PROMPTLY. SHE CALLED AND WE TALKED. WE SET AN APPOINTMENT FOR MONDAY AT 2 PM. MONDAY. AT 2 PM, SHE AND HER CREW WERE HERE AND READY TO GO! WE TOOK A TOUR OF WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE, AND THEY SET ABOUT DOING IT...AND DO IT THEY DID! I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY LAWN SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD WORK SO HARD. MY FLOWERBEDS WERE WILDLY OVERGROWN WITH WEEDS, THE GRASS HAD NOT BEEN MOWED IN A MONTH. MY LAWN SERVICE HAD ABANDONED ME, AND IT LOOKED LIKE IT. IT WAS AMAZING THE TIME THEY TOOK TO DO WHAT I NEEDED AND DO IT RIGHT. THESE ARE VERY HARD WORKING, WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHOSE WORK I SO MUCH APPRECIATE THAT I HAVE HIRED THEM TO WORK FOR ME ON A REGULAR BASIS DOING LAWN-CARE, HANDYMAN WORK, PAINTING, LANDSCAPING, AND WHATEVER I NEED HELP WITH; FOR CYMBAL AND HER CREW DO IT ALL. FOR OVER A YEAR, I HAD BEEN LOOKING FOR MORE THAN A LAWN SERVICE. I NEEDED HELP MAINTAINING THE OUTSIDE OF MY HOUSE THAT WAS JUST TOO MUCH FOR ME TO HANDLE WITH MY AGE AND PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS. EVERYONE I TRIED LEFT ME DISAPPOINTED. SO MANY WOULD NEVER CALL, NEVER SHOW UP, PROMISE AND NOT DELIVER. WELL, CYMBAL AND HER CREW FROM LEHIGH LAWNCARE AND JANITORIAL SERVICES DID NOT DISAPPOINT. THEY GAVE ME MORE THAN I WAS EXPECTING AND WORKED SO VERY HARD. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THAT SPECIAL SERVICE THAT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND, LOOK NO FURTHER, BECAUSE YOU JUST FOUND THEM!"

Greenhouses and Nurseries questions, answered by experts

In most cases, wait three to five days to repot or relocate a plant from a greenhouse or nursery. That way, your plant has time to recover from any shock during the move and adapt to the conditions in and around your home. Some hearty plants may not need as long, and delicate plants might need several weeks. You should ask the professional at your nursery for a recommended timeline. Consider asking about an initial watering schedule to help stimulate root growth and promote a healthy plant.

Adding burnt charcoal to your garden beds and plant pots can yield several benefits, but there are risks involved, too. Charcoal, particularly biochar, can enhance soil structure, improve water drainage, and increase nutrient retention. When activated, charcoal provides key nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. However, burnt charcoal, especially from briquettes, can inadvertently alter soil's pH levels and become hazardous to plants. Overall, there are better and less risky soil amendments available, such as vermiculite, perlite, or wood chips.

The quickest way you can protect plants and trees from frost is to cover them with garden blankets or frost cloths. Also, bringing potted plants or trees indoors is much simpler than trying to cover and protect them outdoors. Remember to anchor blankets with something such as sandbags, fabric pins, or rocks if the forecast calls for strong winds to keep them from blowing away and exposing your trees and plants.

Eco-friendly materials include sustainably-sourced woods, recycled metals, low-VOC paints, and non-toxic sealants, which reduce environmental impact. Using these in repairs promotes sustainability and can improve indoor air quality and overall building health.

Minor fixes like patching leaks or repainting are DIY-friendly, but structural repairs require professional expertise.
