"When my wife and I were searching for someone to construct a wall-to-wall closet in our master bedroom, we came across South Closets, who helped us with the design and construction process. The wall unit has a light interior Birch wood and is constructed from solid Black American Walnut. The plexiglass backing for our closet allows for beautiful light throughout. We are pleased with the outcome."

"Josue and his assistance were always on time and very polite. Before the job started we received detail and dates information on all the job that they were going to complete. The work that they completed is great and they always clean up at day ends. I would highly recommend JAR Painting and would definitely use them again for other jobs needed around the house."

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"Great. Nate Stevens and Brent Price did an amazing job. Punctual, professional, taking great care of my concerns for fragile items, and accommodating my additional requests. I would definitely hire them again."

"Casework Specialties         remodeled my kitchen last year and my   home office about 6 months ago. I would not have used them twice had I   not been  more than satisfied. I would give them straight A's in terms of service, reliability and finished product.
Casework Specialties and other  participating  companies need to be aware that Angie's List badgers it's subscribing members until they respond.
Apparently it doesn't matter whether or not work product has actually  been provided as witnessed by your published reviews when no work has been  done. How does this help a consumer in search of the best company for a particular product or service? Angie's List has an obligation to do  right by  it's members. You have not done right by Casework Specialties by  publishing reviews from people who were never customers in the first   place. And you have not  done right by subscribers looking for reviews of good providers of   quality products not just companies that send out slick sales people   that say what we want to hear but deliver an inferior product.
Casework  Specialties has met or exceeded my expectations with their quality custom cabinetry and  based on your legitimate reviews has done the same for  others who have actually contracted with them.  But one would never know  this by reading spitefully critical reviews from people who were never customers.
Good woodwork is not inexpensive and good designers are not slick  sales people . At the end of the day , what matters is the product ,
not the pitch . Angie's List would do well to remember that.

Closets questions, answered by experts

There are certainly luxury upgrades you can make but you can seriously improve the look and functionality of a closet without spending much money. Color matching will make the closet seem bigger so any shelves painted the same as the wall is a good tip. While pre-made closet organizers may seem expensive they offer an aesthetic look that's hard to achieve with DIY methods. Lastly, removing clutter and unworn items will help the closet seem bigger and cleaner.

Although you can complete a closet frame in just an afternoon, finishing the entire closet will take a few days to a week. However, that’s still not as much as the average time it takes to remodel a closet, which can take anywhere from several weeks to more than a month. That’s because you also have to consider the time it will take to demolish the existing space, plan a new design, order materials, and actually install it.

You can design your own closet, but it’s usually better to hire a professional to do the work for you. Not only will you get years of design experience to guide you toward the right layout and material choices, but you’ll also only pay slightly more hiring a professional than you would creating your own plans and hiring a carpenter. A high-quality closet designer can provide insight into how to lay out your closet, and they may be able to find you a good deal on the carpentry or complete the work using an affordable, in-house team.

If you’re on a tight budget, the least expensive material you can buy for DIY closet shelves is chipboard, a.k.a. particle board. This inexpensive material is made from a pulp of sawdust, resin, and glue that’s pressed together under high temperature and pressure. As you can imagine, it’s not very sturdy and might buckle under your blue jean collection, so you should only use it if you’re storing very light items.

To prevent sagging, consider both the material and the span of the shelf. Using sturdy materials such as plywood or solid wood can provide better support than particleboard. Additionally, limiting the shelf span to 36 inches or less can reduce the risk of sagging. For longer shelves, incorporating center supports or brackets can offer additional reinforcement.
