"Mr. Ponce is a master craftsman and a man of his word. He did far more than simply repaint our kitchen cabinets. In preparation, he meticulously prepped (sanded and patched) our existing wood cabinets. He utilized specialized furniture paint for a long-lasting and perfect finish. He replaced aging hardware and repaired a faulty rolling shelf. A trustworthy businessman. A perfectionist. He and his wife Inez are among the loveliest, kindest people I have ever met. Not cheap. And worth every penny."

"Alejandra and Hector have been an absolute dream to work with on our kitchen upgrade. Their attention to detail is exceptional, and the final result is nothing short of perfect. As someone who is very detail-oriented—some might even say a perfectionist—I was truly impressed by the quality of their workmanship and finishes. They made sure to involve me in every decision, offering options when needed (which I love), and always found the perfect solution for any request I had. It’s incredible that they handle everything themselves—no finger-pointing between different contractors, just smooth communication and problem-solving. They are responsive, professional, and a joy to collaborate with. The transformation feels like an entirely new kitchen, and I can’t wait to work with them on more projects. Thank you, Alejandra and Hector!"

Customers say: True professional

"Mr. Jorge was very professional on time and reasonable. His work is amazing saved me thousands of dollars. I received a quote from Home Depot and it was way more expensive. So if your looking for a honest, reliable nice guy to come work in your home Mr. Jorge is your guy. I love my cabinets, my home looks totally different. He takes his time you can tell he loves what he does and cares."

"Ricky was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. We were building an addition to our home to move our elderly father in with us and we needed a vanity for his bathroom. It was an odd size and we sent Ricky a picture of what we needed and he built it to precisely what we wanted. He said that it would take 1-2 weeks and had it finished and installed in less than a week. I will absolutely use him again when we remodel our two other bathrooms."

Closets questions, answered by experts

How many days it takes to remodel a closet will also depend on the scale of the project. Small changes like installing a prefab kit will eat up an afternoon and no more, while a total renovation could require several days to a week. If you’re planning for the latter, plan to secure other sleeping arrangements while construction is ongoing.

Costs depend on material, customization level, and additional features like lighting or sliding doors.

Walk-in closets are always the biggest and can easily be more than 100 square feet. Primary bedroom closets, even if not walk-ins, are the second largest category in most homes and sit between 30 and 80 square feet. Linen closets, utility closets, and built-in closets are smaller and, depending on their usage, tend to be between 10 and 50 square feet.

Bump-out additions can add some space to a closet without requiring any significant structural work. This entails pushing back the existing rear or side of the closet, simply moving the wall into either an adjacent room or unused space. For ground-floor closets, this could even be extended to the exterior of the home, but that has its own complications. Bump-outs are a good discussion to have with your contractor if you’re just looking to increase the space a little—not renovate the entire closet space.

Plywood, MDF (medium-density fiberboard), and solid wood are all popular options for closet shelving. Plywood and solid wood are sturdy and ideal for extended shelves or heavy items. MDF is a budget-friendly choice for light to moderate storage, but it can sag under heavy weight if not adequately supported. Wire shelving is another alternative that allows airflow, making it especially useful in humid spaces such as laundry rooms or basements.
