"Mr. Ponce is a master craftsman and a man of his word. He did far more than simply repaint our kitchen cabinets. In preparation, he meticulously prepped (sanded and patched) our existing wood cabinets. He utilized specialized furniture paint for a long-lasting and perfect finish. He replaced aging hardware and repaired a faulty rolling shelf. A trustworthy businessman. A perfectionist. He and his wife Inez are among the loveliest, kindest people I have ever met. Not cheap. And worth every penny."

"Alejandra and Hector have been an absolute dream to work with on our kitchen upgrade. Their attention to detail is exceptional, and the final result is nothing short of perfect. As someone who is very detail-oriented—some might even say a perfectionist—I was truly impressed by the quality of their workmanship and finishes. They made sure to involve me in every decision, offering options when needed (which I love), and always found the perfect solution for any request I had. It’s incredible that they handle everything themselves—no finger-pointing between different contractors, just smooth communication and problem-solving. They are responsive, professional, and a joy to collaborate with. The transformation feels like an entirely new kitchen, and I can’t wait to work with them on more projects. Thank you, Alejandra and Hector!"

Customers say: True professional

"Mr. Jorge was very professional on time and reasonable. His work is amazing saved me thousands of dollars. I received a quote from Home Depot and it was way more expensive. So if your looking for a honest, reliable nice guy to come work in your home Mr. Jorge is your guy. I love my cabinets, my home looks totally different. He takes his time you can tell he loves what he does and cares."

"Ricky was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. We were building an addition to our home to move our elderly father in with us and we needed a vanity for his bathroom. It was an odd size and we sent Ricky a picture of what we needed and he built it to precisely what we wanted. He said that it would take 1-2 weeks and had it finished and installed in less than a week. I will absolutely use him again when we remodel our two other bathrooms."

Closets questions, answered by experts

Hanging and folding clothes are efficient ways to pack your clothes during a move. When choosing a packing method, consider the type of clothing you’re packing. For example, clothing such as dresses, suits, blouses, and items made of silk and similar fabrics are ideal for hangers. On the other hand, it’s easier to fold pants, shorts, t-shirts, thick sweaters, and more.

You can budget a little less money for how to build a closet with wire shelves than with wood shelves. Some people don’t like the aesthetics that wire shelves provide, though, meaning they’ll gladly spend a little more to add wood shelves to the build. If you decide to buy pre-made wire shelves instead of building custom-sized wood shelves, you’ll be restricted in the closet shelving dimensions you can use.

Whether it’s less expensive to build or buy a closet depends on both the type of closet and whether or not you’d be constructing it yourself. The cost of custom closets built by a pro ranges from $1,300 to $3,800, but you may be able to DIY it for as little as $400. By contrast, prefabricated options go as low as $200 and up to $3,000, so it’s almost always less expensive to go this route.

The average closet remodel cost ranges between $500 and $2,500. However, the cost can vary greatly depending on the project scope. Homeowners can expect to pay $10 to $25 per square foot on a closet remodeling project.

The vertical space between closet shelves depends on what you're storing. For clothing like shirts and sweaters, 10 to 12 inches is enough. Towels and linens need 12 to 15 inches, while tall storage bins may require 18 inches or more. Overcrowding your shelves can reduce accessibility and increase clutter, so be sure to leave breathing room for your items.
