"With more than a dozen guests for the weekend, we stared in horror as the toilet gurgled, water rose in the bowl, and...it was horrible. We called Saturday morning and had a tech on site in hours. A huge amount of grease had clogged the outflow and the tank was filled to the brim requiring an immediate pump out. In the process, a baffle was found to have been crushed by a previous unnamed pumpout business. Our tech gave a clear and concise quote on what needed to be done and what could be delayed until after our guests were gone. Within hours we were happily flushing! It could not have been easier or less hassle. Highly recommend this company."

"I selected a professional from Angie's List after I read the reviews of other customers and Rooter One was the company that I chose because of the reviews given by customers which was very good. I called Rooter One left my information to be contacted and I received a telephone call from Ms. Paige who was very pleasant and a professional she scheduled me an appointment that was convenient for me. I would like to thank her for her kind attitude. Mr. Peter Santiago the plumbing technician came to my home and he introduced himself to me and he was a professional very polite. Mr. Santiago ask me to explain in more detailed what my family was experienced with the plumbing problems and I informed him that the toilets, tub, and shower water and sewage was coming up through the areas. Mr. Santiago explained to me in detail what may be causing the problems with backup in the toilets, tub, and shower. I was a little frustrated because of the situation at my home he made me feel comfortable and assured me that he will take care of the issues. Mr. Santiago provided me the estimate to complete the job he ask me would I like him to perform the task of making a evaluation on the sinks, tub, shower, and toilets with in the ? home he check the water levels, and flow everything on home was not working properly so he proceeded outside and he checked the lines opened the main water sources removed the caps and the water was over flowing he explained to me that he would like to clear the lines and give me the price to complete the jobs i agreed with the price which I felt was reasonable for the job. He completed the job and he informed me that the main lines was full of toilet paper a lot of paper. Mr Santiago did an excellent job and resolve the problems at my home I can sleep tonight because the problems has been fix. Mr. Peter Santiago did an excellent job he was a professional the entire time, very courteous, with a warm ? smile. I watched him for a short time as he was completing the job he didn't say anything just ? smile and continued working. I saw this as a technician that is confident in what he's doing and not concerned if I was observing his work. I will use this company in the future for all my plumbing needs because of Mr Santiago he is definitely an access to this company and I will request him to return to my ? home when or if I need assistance in the future. I was pleased with his work and Mr. Santiago thank you for taking cate of mu plumbing needs and I know that the next customers that you render services to in the future they will definitely be pleased as I was."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

It's advisable to have your sewer line inspected every three to five years to ensure its proper functioning and detect any potential issues early on. However, the frequency of inspections can vary based on factors such as the age of your sewer system, the type of pipes used, and your property's location. If you notice any warning signs like slow drains, foul odors, or sewage backups, it's essential to schedule an inspection promptly, regardless of the regular maintenance schedule.

Using less toilet paper is the easiest way to prevent future clogs. Also, avoid flushing sanitary products, thick paper towels, or hair down the toilet. If you’ve been using a brick in the tank to reduce the water used to flush the toilet, take it out immediately. Bricks will eventually fall apart and clog your toilet drain. Keeping your toilet lid closed also helps avoid future clogs.

If you don’t have a sewer cleanout, clearing out clogs can be extremely difficult. You would need to try to clear the clog from sink drains, but it can be harder to reach the clog all the way in the drain line. A sewer cleanout makes it much faster and easier for pros to clear clogs from your main sewer line.

Check connections, clean fixtures, and apply finishing or protective coatings to preserve months' worth of shine and functionality.

Depending on the home, wastewater either goes into a septic tank and seeps back into the backyard or is sent via sewer system to a local sewage-treatment plant. Septic systems naturally separate different components of the waste so that it can naturally and safely disperse it. They are usually reserved for homes not served by a municipal sewage department (like rural homes). A treatment plant, on the other hand, speeds up that process through screening and purification.
