We showed them through the house and then left them to do their thing. They thoroughly cleaned bathroom fixtures, tub in one bath and walk in marble shower in the other, mopped the tile floors and left it all sparkling. They vacuumed the whole house, dusted everywhere, and finished with the kitchen. All in all it was completely up to our expectations

They are refinishing it at their own cost. I'm using them on a weekly basis. Very well. Bill is easy to work with, and is quick to understand and discuss the problem. The finished product is not the highest quality we could possibly get (the colors are good, but there are little specs of material in the finish that probably ought not be there, so it's not as smooth as it could be)....but... the price was half that of the next highest quote. We got 3 quotes, $700, 600, and Bill's $275 (we gave him an even $300)... and he did it over xmas week for us so we could use it for visitors the following week. We'd hire him again. Update as of March 2011: Josh called me to see how the table was after ~a year. I told him it was okay, liveable, but not great looking because of the specs. He said they'd updated and improved their process and would like the opportunity to pick the table up, refinish it again a new way, and return it re-assembled - for free. I agreed, they picked it up as scheduled and returned it - still a tough project due to the finish and coloration of this particular set - looked great. Had a (tough to describe) 'hazy sheen?' on the top layer of finish, but with multiple rubbings (lots of elbow grease), it seems to have worked out and now looks like a new table again. Thanks guys, great job

"I hired HomeRite to replace the fogged glass in some 40 year old windows. I'm getting my late parents' house ready to sell and some of the windows were in bad shape. Rich, who did the estimate, and Brian, who did the installation, were both very personable. HomeRite had the best quote of the 3 companies I contacted. Rich was quite knowledgable about the window manufacturer (who has been out of business for some time) and told me where I could purchase replacement parts locally. The estimators from the 2 other companies had no idea who the manufacturer was. Brian did a wonderful job with installation of the new glass and took great care cleaning up afterwards. "Was afraid to call these folks because they are known to be the best in the city; ask many businesses that use them. They do million dollar homes and did the HGTV house.
<br /> I only called them after receiving 1 high bid, 2 medium bids and then picking a lower bid from a and quot;man and a cell phoneand quot;, who flaked out on me.
<br /> I concluded I want a company that will always answer the phone, that has a physical address that I can go to. Thought that this will cost extra. But in the end I was wrong. Quality electrical work from a great company like Moore can actually cost less because their employees are very skilled and hardworking.
<br /> Once the and quot;man and a cell phoneand quot; flaked out on me, I started the bidding process all over. I called Moore. When I called, they were great! But they suggested that I go and quot;time and materialsand quot;, which would be less than if they did a bid. Hmmm, didn't know how that would fly.
<br /> Crossed my fingers and went with them. After all was completed they billed me less than any other bid.
<br /> Why? Because they have GREAT electricians and they are fast and very hard working.
<br /> Don't know what their charges would be like on a very small project, like change one switch.
<br /> This was a sizable project and the price I listed above is not the real number.( Don't like to post private stuff.)
<br /> Bottomline, if I ever have another good sized project I will not even ask for a bid. I will just say, DO IT!

<br /> Here are some tips. If they charge you time and materials, keep track of the time and have the electricians post the materials as they use them. You can even use your own materials and save the upcharge. My numbers and the billed numbers matched, they seem very honest. But it was good to confirm it.
<br /> Incidentally by going time and materials I could do changes.. add this; change that. I added all kinds of stuff and no expensive and quot;change ordersand quot;. And still they had the best price.
<br /> Since the job was completed I spoke with people I know who used them, they said they will not use anyone else. Same for me.
