Jeff is conscientious and has a broad base of knowledge. He also has a personality trait that I appreciated in my former handyman in another city: creativity. When unexpected hurdles arise with certain projects, which they frequently do in my experience, he thinks outside the the box and comes up with a good alternative solution. He discusses this alternative option with you before proceeding. He is an enthusiastic problem solver, in other words.

I consider myself very lucky to have found Jeff Dotson (through HomeAdvisor). He is an extremely versatile and capable tradesman. He and his two assistants did a fantastic job of laying bamboo floors in two bedrooms, but because I had just moved in, there were many other jobs that needed to be done, and he tackled them all. He was on time every day, kept in touch with me via text, and ran errands to Home Depot that I certainly didn't have the time to do. He was patient and cheerful in spite of my probably annoying perfectionism. And he was the only tradesman I have ever hired who left my house and garage cleaner than they were when he arrived. He made massive rolls of old carpet and dozens of big boxes disappear. Needless to say, Jeff is our handyman, now, and when he says, "No matter what the job is, call me first 'cause I might be able to do it," he means it! He's a first-class worker and a genuinely nice person, too.

Jeff efficiently and professionally secured the front steps to our home, replaced some rotting fascia boards, replaced the steps on our back porch as well as a warped board on the back porch. He also removed the rotting railings on our front porch. We were very pleased with his work and will be having him replace the railings on our front porch as well .

I contacted Jeff to do a power wash job on the exterior of my house. It was Jeff’s second visit to my place. I hired him again because he was dependable and professional. Jeff was very prompt and did an excellent job. He was also asked to power wash and water seal both deck and water pump wooden cover. I strongly recommend that you hire for any kind of handyman jobs. He is on my Favorite Pro list!

Jeff was contacted on a Thursday to replace a sliding glass door with french doors, he showed up on Friday and completed the job very quickly. I also hired him to finish a deck and he was very prompt and did an excellent job.

Jeff quoted us for panel installation over the drywall ceilings that were beginning to fall apart (exterior ceilings - 10 years old). The job was somewhat unique but he accurately quoted it, installed it and even got creative where needed to in tough spots. We hired Jeff to redo the panels under the windows in our sunroom. He gave us a very reasonable quote and did a fantastic job. He took our ideas and totally transformed the panels by covering them and adding baseboards and trim. He is a meticulous craftsman and takes great pride in his finished product. He is personable, keeps the client aware of his decisions and is an over all “nice guy”. I highly recommends Jeff, in fact-we have another project lined up for him to do.
