"They were super responsive and did a great job. I had numerous doors and door slabs that needed to be installed. The door slabs also needed to be cut because they were not pre-cut for the doorhandles. They went above and beyond!!!"

"Scott did a phenomenal job repairing my pocket door. He had to put on new hardware and remove part of my door frame to re-install it. I had just had the frame painted a week ago, so Scott very carefully removed the frame so as not to damage the wood, put the door back in, and the frame back together. Then. he calked it AND repainted it - you can’t even tell he did the repair! My pocket door works beautifully and my door frame looks perfect! Scott is not only a skilled professional; he’s a polite, respectful, nice guy to boot! I highly recommend him!"

"Excellent work and communication. Omar came in after our 1st contractor left us midway. He finished a huge majority of the work (tile, floor, light fixture installation, baseboard & trim, bathroom and kitchen sink installation, plus toilet installation) in about 5 days! Truly amazing experience plus I really appreciated him telling us what he was going to accomplish that day and then called us out to show that he kept his promise each time. Plus he kept the place clear of clutter and cleaned up after himself each day. He was a real life saver and very professional. I would hire him again."

He mounted TVs for me ,fix my closet, took a door down, move furniture installed door locks, hung pictures, took measurements for my window blinds and fixed a couple things. Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, you need to leave your chimney damper open when burning a creosote log so that smoke and other debris doesn’t waft into your house as it’s burning. You’ll need to make sure your damper is fully open, even when the log continues to smoke, until it’s completely out and cold.

Yes, a chimney damper is necessary. It controls airflow in and out of your fireplace, helping to retain heat when closed and allowing smoke to escape when open. Without a damper, your home could lose warmth during cold months, leading to higher energy bills. It also helps prevent downdrafts and keeps animals or debris from entering the chimney. In short, it’s essential for efficiency and safety.

Home insurance prices depend on where you live and the individual insurance company's policies. Some insurers charge a flat fee for fireplaces or wood-burning stoves, which is often a few hundred dollars per year. Other insurers base this fee on a percentage of your annual premium. You may want to check your current or prospective policy before beginning this project.

You don’t have to put smoke detectors in every room. At a minimum, though, there should be one on every level of your home, one in every bedroom, and one in the hallways outside the bedrooms. If you have a floor without bedrooms, place a smoke detector in the living room or next to any stairs that lead to an upper level. Attics and basements should also have at least one smoke alarm.

Fire doors are constructed to have certain resistance levels regarding fire. A traditional door can typically resist fire for less than one minute, whereas fire doors can resist it for 30 to 120 minutes, depending on the fire door rating. Fire doors give you and your family a better chance of safely escaping during a fire than standard doors.
